“fun, manic but great food”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

I was there for a private party and the food remained constantly great from beginning to end. No menu, just plate after plate of delicious seafood, asparagus lasagne, scallops (a steak course which I skipped). But the icing on the cake as two men struggling in with a swordfish, past the diners to be met by the chef with a machete. We were promptly served this within 20 minutes - can't get fresher than that.

“Too cool for school!”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

On a previous visit to Paradiso Perduto we had a good meal, good entertainment and wine. Maurizio was great fun and interacting with customers.

We went this week on a Monday when a band were on. They were really good but the food was mediocre to be kind to it! A fish costing 18 euros had about as much meat as two sardines on it and was accompanied by a dollop of tasteless polenta. Pasta with prawns had 2 prawns and was also tasteless.

Very cool, Shoreditch types with cloth caps, hip people squashed in, jostling diners. Waiters looked run off their feet. Saying that, the atmosphere is good and Chicchete looked fabulous. Probably next time we would have drinks and Chiccete at the bar and stand outside. Thought it a bit too ffrantic to enjoy.

“Lively dining!”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Very popular - especially amongst young locals - and very noisy! In fact, we were glad we were outside as it would have been uncomfortable for us inside. It was necessary to book as it was packed every night.
Having said that, the food was good, local and authentic Venetian.

“nice atmosphere”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

The menu still retains its traditional style, with meals inscribed in one word Italian type, including starters, salads, mains and fish cicchetti.
Service is fine. The jazz concert on late evening was really nice.

“Join the locals”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This restaurant can get very crowded but you can book a table. Do go inside as this is where the locals eat.
We enjoyed an evening of excellent Jazz with excellent company as we shared a table with locals who were regulars. They were very friendly and we all shared wine.
The food was also very good and we were there for over three hours without being hassled in any way. Reasonable prices.
