“My favorite place to drink in Venice”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Living only a short distance frome Venice, i've been there quite often and finding a comfortable place to drink can be a problem. However the Devil's Forest Pub is without a doubt my favorite place to go in venice, period. The staff are friendly, the beer is good and sold in Pints (not smallish Italian sizes) and they show all sorts of sports there from Football (soccer) to wrestling to track and field. I've been there for just a few drinks and i've also spent nights there getting completely wrecked! The crowd is always varied and usually international and it is always a good time! Take the time to stop at this pub for a drink or quite a few drinks!

“Odd Devilish Duck”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Have been in Venice for 3 months 4 more to go. We come to the pub because its a nice walk form s.Marco and it has some the greatest values on food and drink in Venice. The owner GIGI is a wonderful host and prefers your (however horrible) Italian on him before go to English. If you a into futbol the place is raging for big games. The atmosphere is totally English pub meets Venice. That's a tall order but it works perfectly. The youngish staff is friendly if you take the time to know them by name. Free wifi is a big plus for people like me who have to stay connect even when on the other side of the earth. It's a pub for sure, have that expectation and let them surprise you.

“Great pub”
Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

The staff and owner are really welcoming and have helped us enjoy Venice by recommending other places and things to do in the city. It's only the beer thats overpriced as its imported. Prosecco and wine are good value and good quality.

“Good Beer, Free (Fast) Wifi, Overpriced”
Reviewed December 21, 2012

This place is right across from Da Mamo so you don't have to get lost in the maze trying to find it after dinner. (Literally if you tripped walking out of Da Mamo, you would fall into this place.)

There are plenty of places to sit down and it was never packed (although it was busy) the whole time we were in Venice.

With the lack of night life availability in Venice (In December anyway) it makes sense why they would charge 7 Euro per pint. Regardless they have a good selection of draft beers (Guiness, Kilkenny, etc.) Which was helpful because I'm not a big fan of wine.
