Good location and lovely staff. Rooms are clean but very outdated. The floor is tiled and there is no actual bed quilt, just an old blanket so it was a bit cold. Close to everything once you work out how to get there, it is about 30mins taxi from the airport and then a water taxi which can be a bit confusing at first but very close to the train station which you should be able to walk from (about 10/15mins)

We stayed here for 2 nights. The staff was always very pleasant, Martina at the desk was always very helpful. She gave us a free upgrade for booking directly through their website, so we had a canal view room. The rooms are well kept, not modern, but clean. Their complimentary breakfast was also good. There are a lot of stairs and the bathrooms are small, but I think this is normal for Venice. We got the Alilaguna water taxi from the airport and the hotel was only a short walk from the Guglie stop, and we took the train out which was also only a short walk from the hotel. This hotel is a little gem, clean, comfortable, good location and reasonably priced.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in September. We got the bus from the airport to Venice and then walked the 10 minutes to the hotel. It was very easy to find, and in a quiet part of Venice.
When booking, I was not familiar with Venice and knew that the hotel was away from San Marco Piazza and the Rialto. Don't be deterred by this as the walk is not too far and you can enjoy meandering through the shops and small alleys.
The breakfast was lovely and the staff are fantastic. They are incredibly friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious and tidy. Great value considering the MANY hotels I looked at which were extremely expensive and probably no where near as nice as Hotel Hesperia.
We caught the water taxi back to the Airport from Guglie (straight across the canal from hotel) which was extremely convenient.
Very happy with our stay.
Thank you.

This turned out to be a decent little hotel located very conveniently to the train and bus stations. It's down a quiet street along a canal, just a few minutes walk from the train station. The hotel has three stars and that's about right - typical of Venice. The rooms are clean and functional - but don't expect American style. I wish I could find the controls to the air conditioner. I think it was a bit pricey, but that seems to be the norm for Venice. The receptionist at the front desk was great when I checked in.

Room Tip: There is not elevator, so be prepared for stairs.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Hesperia for 2 nights during our honeymoon. The location was perfect - very close to train station (we walked with luggage and arrive at station in 10-15 minutes) and yet quiet and off the beaten path away from large crowds. There was also a great restaurant just down the street - Ai Trei Archi. Breakfast was also included, which was convenient (croissants, yogurt, fruit, coffee, cappuccino, etc.). Staff members were very helpful and friendly. Though not extremely modern, the room was much larger than most European rooms and was clean. Great find for the price!
