No critiques for this hotel. The location is perfect; the rooms are clean and the decor and details are excellent. The breakfast was great. The concierge is very helpful. Harry’s Bar is just around the corner, and so too is Cafe Florian in the Piazza San Marco as well as the luxe shopping area.More

My 26 year old daughter and I traveled through Northern Italy for two weeks. Neither of us had been to Italy. Our third stop was in Venice staying in the Baglioni Hotel Luna and I must say they are as kind and lovely as people are in the South. The location is also fabulous.
The two gentlemen who greeted us at Reception were attentive and helpful (and of course true to Italian men they were most attractive!).
We had a beautifully appointed suite that was well stocked, had a slight view of a beautiful bell tower and was cleaned to perfection daily. The linens were luxurious.
The restaurant offers an extensive gin and tonic menu (amongst much else) so we enjoyed trying their different specialty cocktails.
We ate dinner in the bar one night which was delicious; the fresh catch sea bass and vegetables were cooked to perfection. The breakfast buffet was as delicious as it was beautifully presented.
The service staff was 100% astute. As we would come and go from the hotel we were always greeted by name. Lovely people!
I look forward to my future visits to Venice and will definitely return to this beautiful hotel.

BUT! I ordered a mushroom salad that is served cold and it was absolutely amazing! The fresh catch was perch and also divine.

The Baglioni Luna is the right location: right by San Marco, near the valetta stop, and a walking distance from everywhere. The quality of the rooms and the level of service is high. The breakfast is well done with high quality foods and lots of selection.

Oldest hotel in Venice and great location. minutes from San Marco square. Room was very ornate but on shabby side. Our safe didn't work and our view was of another building. All of that would have been overlooked if we would have had a different experience with the staff--primarily in the bar off of the lobby and front desk all of whom were very arrogant. The breakfast staff were excellent. We had just stayed at the Four Seasons in Florence so perhaps we had unrealistic expectations. All in all, I am not sure if I would rebook at this hotel.

Baglioni Hotel Luna is one of the most requested Hotel in town right for its location and for its great history being formerly property of the knight Templars in 12th century and Baglioni Hotels Collection invest every year a huge amount of resources to maintain the property that, as all the St. Marks area, is bounded to fine arts.
We sincerely regret to learn of your dissatisfaction and what concerns us deeply to read is the perception you have had with our staff, and the negative impression these left with you of our hotel as we do pride ourselves on the high standard of training that all of our staff receive.

My daughter and I came here for 1 night. It was perfect choice for a hotel. The hotel was beautiful and very Italian. The hotel staff was very helpful throughout our stay- I contacted them prior with a few questions and they responded quickly and gave great advice. Once we arrived, they spoke English and was very kind and helpful again. They upgraded our room for no additional charge and we had a room with a balcony. The hotel staff arranged a parking spot for our rental at the San Marco garage, and we ended up taking a water taxi to the hotel instead of the water taxi line service. It cost about $65 one way but was way easier, quicker, and so worth the money. We had to leave the next morning and the hotel had a water taxi waiting for us so we could quickly get back to the garage. This hotel is about location- it is a few steps from St. Mark's Square! All the nice shops were surrounding the hotel. The gondola boats were right outside the hotel entrance. If I ever return to Venice, I will book this hotel again for sure! Great all around!
