I visited the hotel during the Venice Carnival and had a fabulous stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff were all extremely helpful and polite. The room was large and airy and had a view down to the canal below. The bathroom was well stocked and had plenty of light and a wide counter for applying cosmetics. The beds were comfortable and the cleaning g team kept everything absolutely spotless.

The sumptuous and plentiful breakfast was a highlight of our trip and we particularly enjoyed the Prosecco and gentle harp music - a wonderful way to start our days before heading out around the city. There really was something for everyone on offer, with fresh platters of meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals, breads, pastries and yoghurts as well as the expected hot offerings.

Each evening we asked the concierge for a recommendation for dinner and he always suggested places we enjoyed, which were well suited to the budget / atmosphere we asked for, whether that be romantic, fun, pizza, or ‘special’.

The hotel was a pleasure to stay at and deserves its place as a ‘Leading hotel of the World’. I look forward to returning next time I visit Venice.

What a fabulous hotel. From the moment you arrive by water taxi, the service is amazing. The Hotel is stunning, the bedrooms are very spacious, luxuriously set out and very clean. The staff are incredible, very helpful and friendly. The food is excellent, the breakfast room is amazing with beautiful paintings on the ceiling and walls. Plenty of choice also. My husband and I were celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary, and also a birthday too. In our room had been left a bottle on ice, and a beautiful gift. Such a wonderful thought and surprise for us both. The location of the hotel is absolutely brilliant, only a few yards from St Marks square, the shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel, and we would like to thank the management, and all the staff at The Hotel Baglioni for making our stay a magnificent ending to a trip of a life time.

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel. It’s very old but absolutely charming. So with old buildings ( it’s where St John Knights lived and prayed) you have to expect things to go awry.. Service was great restaurant superb position ideal. We arrived to the door by water taxi (perfect)
