This is a great hotel!
In terms of location, you simply cannot beat it, 5mins from the Rialto Bridge and 5mins to St Marks Square.
Rooms are lovely, very nicely decorated and good size as well, compared with other hotels I've stayed in Italy.
Would really recommend getting a taxi transfer from the airport as the hotel has the boat landing which makes getting from the airport to the hotel unbelievably easy and it is really the best way to arrive in Venice! Staff are all very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
Overall a great place and I would thoroughly recommend it!

Finding anything in Venice can be a challenge, but our experience in this labyrinth of a city was worlds easier with the Splendid as our starting point. Located along an easily distinguishable route between St. Mark's and the Rialto, we found our way out and back quickly.

But the Splendid had more going for it than just location: our Superior room, while small, was well appointed, quiet, and comfortable. We had no view to speak of, but from what I hear, that's pretty common in Venice. The staff was friendly — in fact, I corresponded with a gentleman named Georgio before we booked to ensure we could get a room with a queen bed rather than two singles. He said we could, and the Splendid delivered.

The Splendid isn't cheap, but it's a solid choice.

Good location on Main Street. 5 min walk to St. Marks Square. We arrived by water bus. Easy to find hotel by foot using google maps as on first arriving every street looks the same! Lovely room, very spacious and view over a canal. Great breakfast, lots of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had dinner in hotel on one evening and was dreadful and extremely expensive. Maybe that was just our experience.

This hotel has an amazing location situated a few minutes walk from the rialto and piazza san marco! We stayed here for 3 nights.

We arrived at the airport and bought a return ticket for the vaporetto for 27 euros per person and took the orange line to rialto. Make sure you buy a map which you can do at the airport for 2.50 euros from tourist information. There was a very long queue for the orange line but it was worth it. The vaporetto takes you down the grand canal to rialto. From there it was only a few minutes walk to the hotel.

The check in was quick and easy and they had upgraded us to a junior suite which was lovely! The room was clean, modern and lovely. It had lovely toiletries, free tea/coffee facilities and free water. The only downside was not having free wifi in the room so we had to keep going to the lobby for free internet.

The hotel itself you would not expect the plush interior from the venetian exterior so it was a lovely welcome after walking the alleys of venice. It sits right on a canal which is picturesque. The breakfast was simple but nice. The bellinis which were 10 euros each were divine and always came with little nibbles. Overall the service was excellent as is location and I would stay here again.

This hotel is great! We arrived via the water-taxi, and that was an amazing experience! if you are flying in; you must reserve a water-taxi, and it will bring you to this hotel by boat... it is worth it! The rooms are small, but everything you need for a wonderful time. We did have an 'end of hall' corner room that did seem larger than all of the others. But my favorite thing about this hotel is that there is a small patio with a table and a few chairs ... you get there; by opening a window by the elevator and stepping out. It is wonderful at night or early in the morning ... It's a secret spot!
This was our first trip to Venice, and every moment was wonderful! There is an amazing breakfast with a staff that is happy to be there ... everyone speaks wonderful English! We walked to everything in Venice; and this location seemed to be just perfect! I would recommend this hotel to anyone; and we will do our best to stay here when we return there!

Room Tip: The rooms that are at the end of the hallway (corner rooms) are a little bigger than the interior ro...

This hotel is in a great location for all the tourist attractions and the rooms are surprisingly quiet considering it is located on a main shopping street. The staff were friendly when we checked in and the porter showed us where things were on the way to our room, The major downside of this hotel is the breakfast, its truly terrible with hardly any choice at all.

The hotel is very central to the city centre, overlooks the waterway intersection, my room was possibly the best room in that hotel, luxurious and spotless. The king size bed was comfortable and the room service excellent.

The only complain I do have is the high charges for the use of WiFi in the room. When I booked the Hotel, I specifically asked for a free WiFi access and was told that it will be available in the room that I was making the booking for, but, on my arrival it was not the case. Had it not been for these annoying extra charges for the use of the Internet, I would have given it full marks.
