Having lived in Verona for one year to learn the language I had been to Venice before, however my partner always wanted to go. We planned a week long vacation that started in Venice & ended in Verona. I was a little apprehensive at first due to the price, but I expected it to be fabulous. We took a water-taxi to the entrance of the hotel, it did not disappoint as could be seen, the lobby is covered in marble. From check-in to check-out we had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and luxurious in a classical way, I loved the bathroom, it was of French-Italian style. We had a room that was perpendicular to the canal, we were on the right corner. The concierge and other staff was very helpful in assisting me in locating an exquisite romantic restaurant. Room service was pricey but good. We ordered two panini's in the bar for a snack with a bottle of sparkling water, it came out to 65eu. Be prepared to spend a small fortune on the small things in this hotel, Brunch the following day cost close to 90eu, it was a little steep, but I know for next time. All in all, if you like luxury and grandeur, this hotel is worth a shot.

Room Tip: How often are you in a 5 star hotel in Venice?! Pay the extra price to get a Canal facing room. Floo...

Finding our way to this hotel after leaving the waterbus was challenging - but worth it!! The location couldn't have been better - right on the grand canal and near to St. Mark's. The décor and ambiance of the property is awesome - I felt like royalty! Our room was quite comfortable and the bath had all the amenities you would expect. Breakfast was included and what a breakfast it was....all of the hot/cold items you could wish for and a wonderful array of fresh fruits and (yum) bakery. We sat outside and watched the boat traffic while we ate our breakfast. What a great memory! The service provided by the staff was superb. We will be returning to Venice via a cruise ship, but will stop at the hotel again to refresh those memories.

Luxurious without being pompous, classic without being outdated. Personnel very well mannerd, discrete and efficient. The cuisine is of good quality. I did not try other facilities, as I did not need them.

First Class hotel in the heart of Venice (i.e. no distance at all to St.Mark's square etc.). Pick your time (or become a gold member - for which you will normally get an upgrade) or offer as the standard rate is expensive for a private trip but they do have offers on a regular basis. Once there you will find that you get excellent service from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. The rooms are excellent - all facilities - plenty of old worldy marble and comforatable. The restaurant is excellent but a touch on the expensive side (only because there are many excellent places to eat in Venice outside the tourist ones) but if you have breakfast included then it is a treat (not just a standard American breakfat buffet). Venice is a walking city with longer distances covered by water taxis etc.when you are tired. This is why it is so important to get a 'good' location that allows for convenient transport

Room Tip: In Venice a room with a view is definately an added bonus. Don't be afraid to ask when you check...

Just got back from our stay at the Westin Europa & Regina. I found the hotel fits perfectly in decor to what you would find in Venice. The staff at reception is extremely pleasant and welcoming.

Our room was on a top floor with Amazing views of Venice, the Grand canal, even the bathroom had a fantastic view. I found it spacious clean, filled with amenities and very comfortable. We even had a walk in closet so no clothes all over the room.

My only complaint is no coffee in the morning. Maybe it is that I am American and enjoy coffee in the morning but, I feel with the cost of this hotel , coffee in morning is not to much to ask. Did not have breakfast in the hotel is was not included and 31 euros was a little ridiculous a price to pay for breakfast. The prices for food, mini bar are above the norms that I have come to expect in Venice. This is my second trip to Venice. I know that things can be expensive. But at a bar on the street a bottle of water is 1.5 Euros, not the 10 Euros in the minibar. This is the only problem I have with this hotel.

So my advice is you will love staying here, just don't expect to eat here. Also as for the comments others have made about finding the hotel. Once you walk out and become aware of your surroundings it is not hard to find and I thought it was a pleasure that the entrance was not bombarded with the many people that are walking around the streets. There are many signs directing you to the hotel on the street.

Tucked away in a not-so-easy to find spot about 5-7 min from San Marco Square, The Westin Hotel Europa & Regina exemplifies old-school charm. From the extremely comfortable bed (I haven't slept so well in ages!) to the stunning morning breakfast view right next to the canal and the elegant marbled lobby, this is a hotel that values comfort and luxury. My only caveat would be the wifi - it doesn't make sense in this day and age to charge 12EUR for wifi in the room while having the wifi free in the lobby that doesn't work properly half the time. And despite the spectacular view, the breakfast could use a bit more variety. But the service was excellent, so it makes up for that. But overall I slept very well and thoroughly enjoyed my stay, so it's a five star from me.

Very close to the San Marco square
We had a great 2 nights at hotel we got a room which was really small for the price we were paying, called the front desk and let them know that our room was kind of smaller then we are used to, they gave us a free upgrade to a small suite, which was much better, we had a great experience over all
To recap: A little to pricy for the size of the rooms but in a great location

Room Tip: Try to get a room over the water
