My fiance and I had a pleasant stay while in Venice. Perfect location with clean and comfortable rooms. We took a water taxi rather than the water bus from the airport. It was pricey but beautiful to sail through Venice. We later road a gondola which was pointless, we enjoyed the water taxi ride more. Overall perfect and we wold definitely stay again.

Tip: You can buy Prosecco from street vendors, cheaper than in the cafes.

We booked this hotel for the first weekend of Carnivale for my birthday. The staff were very accommodating and helpful from the moment we arrived until we left - be it showing us to our room, giving us directions, or rustling up extra umbrellas during a storm.

My one complaint was that the room we stayed in was supposed to have a Queen bed - but it was two doubles pushed into one, and neither were particularly comfortable (definitely didn't feel like a Heavenly bed). However it was beautifully furnished and even had beautiful glass sconces on the wall. Our room (441) didn't have a sea view, but you could see lots of lovely Venetian rooftops and it also had it's own corridor, which gave us some privacy.

The bathroom was an excellent size and fully kitted out with toiletries that were replaced every day. It also had a hair dryer and an adapter available. There were plenty of towels, as well as the standard plush Westin slippers and robes.

The hotel also appears to be attached / adjacent to another hotel that is being renovated so the courtyard entry was a little scrappier than I would have expected. However when you enter all is forgotten as the reception (and all communal areas) are gorgeous.

We spent one night in the bar having drinks - you pay a premium (expect about 18 - 20 Euros per drink) but it has good atmosphere and the furnishings are very pretty. It does get pretty warm in there though, so don't wear a heavy sweater!

All in all, it was a great spot and centrally located for a long weekend.

I have just returned from a 4 week trip through Europe and this was the only hotel to disappoint. We booked this hotel as it was recommended by American Express as one of their preferred hotels. I will certainly be telling them to reconsider that!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a very rude girl at the front desk who couldn't find it possible to smile. We had booked a room with a canal view and had also booked for 3 people as we were travelling with our 12 year old. The rude girl advised that there was only one bed in the room and I told her that a rollaway bed was supposed to be booked as Amex had done in all our other hotels. She explained that if we wanted a rollaway it would cost 135 Euros per day. How ridiculous! We were already paying 435 Euros per night and the room was very average for that.

We left our bags in our room and decided to go and have a drink in the bar and enjoy the view before heading out. We sat outside for some time before we were greeted by a very rude and unhappy woman who just stood there and stared at us. No menus were bought out and it seemed we were an inconvenience to her. One quick drink and we were out of there.

After returning from a lovely dinner out that evening we decided to have a drink in the bar before going to our room. When we walked into the bar there were 4 staff sitting at the bar talking to the 'rude girl' who was behind the bar. They all glared at us and kept staring as we sat down as though we were inconveniencing them by being there. Rude girl from the bar came over (Sherene I believe her name was) and was again just as unwelcoming as she had been that afternoon. Again another quick drink and we were out of there!

We had 2 nights at this hotel and tried to spend as much time as possible away from it! The service all round was very average and the staff just appauling! I will definitely be contacting Amex about recommending this hotel as that is a big mistake. There are many other hotels close by, choose them.

My stay at the Westin Europa regina has been a very pleasent one. I visited the hotel last summer for the redentore festival. we arrived by watertaxi, which gave us the possibility to see Venice how it is meant to be visited. because in the summer the vaporetto is very crowded and more expensive than in ainter time it is worth the extra money, although when coming form the train station with 4 persons, the watertaxi is not that more expensive than the vaporetto.

the hotel has it's own dock which allows the guest to pass the long corridor towards the reception. the receptionists are very professional and know how to do do a quick but pleasent check-in. The roo,s are very different but all the furniture is of a good quality. the beds are divine. we had also a rollaway bed and even that one was very comfortable.
The redentore is a great event that gives you a great fealing of luxure and class.

Venice is a great city to explore and the hotel is the place from where it should be explored.

I'd love to visit the hotel again this spring.

Room Tip: The rooms are very clear described on the internet site, take a good look at the description before...

Stayed there as part of my honeymoon and when I reached there I was like......

This is the place where every honeymooner need to come if they are in Venice.

Location: away from the rail station but walking distance from the main square of Venice so it makes up for it.
Since I reached here on the feast of redeemer so this the place from where you can view all the fireworks right from the comfort of your room.

Room: was very spacious and elegantly decorated.

Food quality overall is just good nothing much to write about.

You can walk to the gondolas, starting points for your grand canal tour or your trip to murano, burano.

I recommend it hands down.

We stayed at this hotel in New Years. The room was quite big for European hotel. Our room had beautiful view of Grand Canal and Chiesa della Salute. The location was great just a few step from shops and short walks to San Marco. Breakfast with a view was very nice. The only complaint was It takes time for the hot water to start flowing and it only last for few minutes then it become cold again.

Room Tip: Room with a view of Grand Canal is very beautiful...

This was the most elegant, beautiful hotel I stayed in while traveling throughout Europe. It is located on the Grand Canal and our room had stunning views of the Canal and the church across the way. The room was decorated in Venetian style and was just lovely. The staff spoke English and were very accommodating and friendly. It is a 5 minute walk to St. Mark's Square which is just amazing. The restaurant's prices are expensive but there are plenty of good restaurants around the hotel and in St. Stephen's Square (Piazza di San Stefano) which is a short walk. The concierge is most helpful and will give you many good suggestions so do not hesitate to ask him. Do go out and explore the lovely squares around this hotel. But this hotel is absolute class! I loved it!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the Grand Canal...amazing!
