On the Grand Hotel.Very Venetian type ‘ old palatial residence’.
5 to 10 minutes walk from the Rialto bridge.Provides a good hot and cold breakfast.A maze of narrow streets and passages around the area with a good choice of restaurants.More than adequate rooms.Nice balcony on the Grand Canal which can be used for water taxis if your budget runs to using them.

This is a typical Venetian hotel on the island of Venice with lots of traditional features . It’s only a few minutes from the Rialto market and the famous bridge. The rooms are comfortable with modern bathrooms but the rooms retain their original style . The staff are pleasant and attentive and it has a lovely bar and outside spaces to sit and enjoy a spritz or cappuccino !The only drawback is the breakfast area is really busy at peak times 7.30 - 9.00 . But why not have a later breakfast and eat it on the terrace above the canal.

Arrived at hotel by shared private taxi, booked before we left home. Excellent . We arrived in style at the jetty outside the hotel.
We were greeted warmly and shown to our room , 3rd floor , steps very steep , you could hear everyone puffing !
The room is adequate, nice comfy bed, clean room and bathroom. We had a small balcony with a glimpse of the grand canal .
Hotel is situated a few minutes from the Rialto bridge, just beautiful. Lots of restaurants nearby. Small tip.. maybe avoid Chinese quarter restaurants food was dreadful, look for the Italian local outlets . Sounds obvious but Chinese quarter is nearby to hotel .
