Hotel has heaps of old world charm. Great location not far from the station facing a canal.
We were lucky to be upgraded to a canal view room on the second floor (thanks Accor). Lovely park out the back of the hotel. Helpful staff. Comfortably furnished room with tea and coffee making facilities.
Bathroom was a bit dated and the bed was quite hard. Didn't use the restaurant, but it looked magnificent.

We stayed here at the end of our Mediterranean cruise and were not disappointed. We arrived in our room to find a note from the Hotel Manager welcoming us with a tray of strawberries and champagne on ice. Large room with king sized bed, quality linen and a bath. We also had a huge balcony overlooking the canal. Great location, excellent service and they even arranged a taxi which carted our luggage to the people mover area and took us to the airport. This stay will be remembered for a long time as one where we were made to feel very special and were really impressed with the service.

We stayed here for three nights recently and would not hesitate to return.

We arrived before the check-in time but this was not a problem and the very helpful staff made sure our bags were stored and taken up to the room when it was available.

The room itself was large with a massive king size bed with fantastic bedding. The only problem was actually leaving the bed once in it!

The breakfast was amazing, a full selection of meats, cheeses and pastries were availavle, together with bacon, eggs and cereals. This was included with our room but if it isn't, the €22 price is quite high.

The hotel is in a great location and very close to both the train station and bus terminal. It is extremely easy to get a Vaparetto to any landmark from both of these locations.

My main quibbles were:

1) Having to pay for Wi-Fi. I ddon't understand this from such a nice hotel but we got around this by simply going over the canal and using the free wi-fi of one of the eateries in the piazza.

2) Some areas of the bathroom could do with touching up as there was a bit of damp and mould.

We stayed here two nights during our tour of northern Italy. This was the best hotel stay we had in Italy. Four stars Plus great big rooms and bath. King sized bed with great sheets and pillows.
Nice bar area with good seating. Very pretty dining room.
We had breakfast here twice and it was great. Almost like back home. Bacon and eggs that look like bacon and eggs. Cold meat and cheeses and toast. All types of juices. Coffee brought to your table.
Easy walk to all kinds of shopping and to the train station or bus station.
We walked all around by the Grand Canal, we didn't go as far as Saint Marks. We took a water taxi there.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the canal. Avoid first floor rooms.

It must have been a been a very beautiful hotel in its day. It is now showing some wear but the service can't be beat. They gave us a room on the corner over looking two canals with a view of the piazza . Outstanding and romantic, as it was our anniversary they brought us a bottle of champagne with champagne glasses filled with delicious strawberries. Andrea Veca( I asked for his card) took this hotel from a good to an excellent with his above the top service. I can't say the same for young man that was on in the evening. He was just short of rude, very abrupt. The dining area is beautiful and the breakfast was outstanding. Very close to the water taxi ( like a bus) Love to stay here gain.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Papadopoli in Venice for the middle portion of our honeymoon. We exited the train station, went over the first two bridges on the main 'island' of Venice, and we were already at the hotel.

It is a very welcoming lobby, and the front desk was unbelievably accommodating! We arrived very early and they were able to check us in upon arrival. Andrea, at the front desk, was awesome! He traded our garden view room to a canal view room. We were pleasantly surprised by this. He also told us the best nearby places for food and how to get around to the main places of interest. There are many winding roads in Venice and you can easily get turned around and go the wrong direction.

After a long day, we can back to our room to find that Andrea had put together a lovely surprise of champagne and fruit as a present for our honeymoon! We couldn't be more surprised and impressed by this!

The only con to this trip was an employee at the front desk (can't remember his name, but maybe Alesso, wish I could remember). He was the only employee that wore a full suit, and not a hotel uniform. He was not friendly at all and did not help with any questions we had. We did not let this one person ruin our experience at this perfect hotel!

We would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Venice for any period of time. The location and staff were amazing. Worth it!
