“Prachtig Hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

Probably the most beautiful hotel in Venice inside aswell as outside, Checking in was a breeze and moments later we were in our beautiful mini-suite room 329, the receptionist told us that this was one of the prettyest rooms and i do agree him a lot! It was a huge room with a very clean seperated bathroom, everything we wished for was there, it was to our most satisfaction, a very nice touch was that we could recieve BVN, a Belgian-Dutch tv station in our room so we could see the Belgian news each day, something not many hotels offered! Yes, i can highly recommend this fine hotel to everyone, you will like it to after enjoying your first breakfastbuffet with everything you can dream of so you can start exploring the many canals with a full stomack! special thanks to all the ladies who serve breakfast and the waiter at the hotelbar. you all did a great job, thank you.

We stayed here 2 nights prior to our cruise...we took the ATVO bus from airport and stopped at piazzale Roma ...from there a 5 minute walk over 1 bridge...incredibly easy...this hotel is lovely and in a quiet area...room clean and comfortable...good night sleep in comfy bed...breakfast buffet was good...staff very nice....about a 30 minute pleasant walk to San Marco...charming restaurant right across from hotel...this was our 3rd trip to Venice and we really enjoyed being away from the typical tourist areas and all the crowds....

Perfect for our first visit to this beautiful city. A quick walk over the bridge from the bus and taxi station made it very convenient. It was clean, with friendly staff and so typically old Venice. Breakfast was included and it was magnificent with excellent variety and quality.

What a great hotel. Been here twice now and it is faultless. Brilliant friendly staff and spotless rooms. Very near the bus station which is a bonus. Full cooked buffet breakfast is top rate with plenty of seating and the personal touch from the professional staff. A very friendly and helpful place. Recommended to all .

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent but a junior suite with view is a must if you can afford that bit extra !

We stayed at the Papadopoli 1 night each before and after our cruise. It was a very convenient location for a cruise as it is only one bridge from Piazza Roma and transportation. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. They spoke English very well, which is helpful and humbly appreciated. The first night, we had an upgraded room, which was spacious and nice. Large shower, which we discovered is nearly impossible to find in Europe. The only issue is that it was a bit chilly and they had already turned off the heat for the season. The last night, we had a normal room, which was smaller, but still lovely. The restaurant looked gorgeous, but was a little pricy, so we ate across the street. The bar was a bit pricy too, but the bartenders were very nice. Would stay again if we return.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in May at the Papadopoli Venezia. We were very happy with our choice for the following reasons
1. Extremely close to Piazzale Roma for arrival from the airport, and for use of vaparetto pass. Only 1 bridge to cross with bags, and steps on the bridge very small.
2. Great service, clean, lovely romantic room and bathroom. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and the hotel kindly gave us a complementary box of Italian biscuits, and champagne and strawberries which were much appreciated
3. Lovely buffet breakfast with local flavours in the beautiful garden themed restaurant.
4. Excellent cheap lunch just opposite the hotel at Bacareto de Lele which I have reviewed separately. (2.70 euros for 3 sandwiches which was plently for us both for lunch which we enjoyed on 2 days!)

Whilst in Venice we bought a 36 hour Vaparetto pass and used it extensively to travel to San Marco, Rialto, Murano and Burano. We also walked extensively and loved wandering around the canals near the hotel. One morning was foggy and I went out at 6 am for a really magical walk!
From the airport we took the ACTV bus which was really really crowded and the bus driver kept stopping to board more and more passengers. Perhaps we would have been better with the ATVO bus. Tickets for ATVO are available at the bus stop at the airport. As we had bought return tickets we took the ACTV back to the airport and it was amazingly empty!

We were lucky to get a good price on line for 3 nights including breakfast for the price of 2 , and would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a stay in Venice.

We arrived on June 13th for two nights pre cruise. This hotel has a great location if you're cruising as it's just across from the Piazzale Roma (bus and taxi area) and near the people mover though depending on the terminal that your ship is docked, I would not suggest walking it. Check in went well. They had our room available for an early check-in. Rooms are not large verses U.S standards but large enough to be comfortable. Nice bathrooms with toiletries. The only negative was the A/C was not cold at all. We had to call for service and it did get better but only for one day. I suggest that they remove the chandelier in the room and replace it with a ceiling fan/light. I would not have wanted to have been here on a really hot day.

There is a great little bar at this hotel. We enjoyed drinks and live piano entertainment both evenings here. Very friendly bar staff. We would stay here again. With proper A/C this would have been a five star Trip Advisor rating.

Room Tip: Great hotel for cruisers.
