“A great find in the alleys of Venice. Worth seeking out.”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Off the beaten path in a residential area completely away from tourist traps and worth the search through the alley's of Venice (on top of crossing over several beautiful bridges).

Of note and memorable, Great food, Great service and Great wine selection where they put our bottle of wine in a plastic bag like container on ice (white wine) on the table... I haven't seen that anywhere else but Paris. It brought back great memories. Place was full of locals as well. A sign you are in a true Venetian stop. Enjoy.

The 3 of us just came upon this place filled with a lot of locals by chance as we had originally passed it by in search of another recommended spot. When the spot we were searching for was closed (hello Italy!) we backtracked due to my companions 'noses'. We didn't regret it.

For 70 euro or $92 dollars 3 people had:
A couple huge mugs of Marzen beers
2 bottles of white wine (great wine by the way with the rain pouring outside)
A sausage pizza (it still looks like sliced up hot dogs to me)
Pasta Bolognese and a appetizer.

Enjoy it if you find it.

“very good reasonable pricey restaurant”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

you might have some difficulties to find its place but its definitely worth the effort. Food variety is reach and the quality/price ratio is very good. As this is not easy find-out place, they don't have touristic concerns and focus on food quality. For two people and with exaggareted trials of food we've paid 98 €. We dined outside which was a quiet place with adequate space.

“Excellent food on a rainy night in Venice”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

We had a lovely meal here - my partner had a stunning mushroom pizza, really mushroomy and full of flavour. I had John Dory (or San Pietro as it's called in Italy) - really pleased to see it on the menu as I've only had it once before. Check what your meal comes with though as I ordered fries (and very excellent they were) not realising that it already came with potatoes! Good wines but no room for dessert! You need to book though - we saw people being turned away or having to wait outside for a table.

“Great stop!”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

I booked Muro San stae for New Year's Eve last year having found that many places are closed on nye. The set menu was excellent value for money and provided a wonderful night of entertainment.
It was easy to book in advance and the staff were always more than obliging. The tables were decorated wonderfully and the atmosphere was perfect. Lots of tourists and locals were here together, the menu was a good selection of dishes to suit everyone and our of 7 courses only 1 was left partly eaten and that's because we couldn't physically eat or drink any more.
