Not sure where to start so let me begin with Sabrina and Massimo..you cannot find better hosts anywhere in Italy, period. They guided us to their property without a hitch and were not disappointed when we arrived. This place is perfectly situated in the quaint sestiere of Dorsoduro. The place is spotless and the rooms are larger than most. It allowed us to live among the Venetians yet close enough to experience the tourist attractions. Sabrina's recommended restaurants were spot on, do not overlook them when you're there, authentic as they get. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with a 2 week trip to Italy and the 3 days we spent here were the highlight. Thank you Sabrina and Massimo for making our trip a memorable one, we will be back only next time for a longer stay!

Room Tip: Do yourself a favor a stay here...you will not regret it. All the Venice attractions are within wal...

We stayed at La Chicca for 4 nights and loved it, there are only 3 rooms so there's a very personal and secure feel to it. Our room was a great size & it was cleaned to a high standard daily, and towels changed daily. Sabrina & Massimo are great hosts, offering advice & help to any questions we had along with lots of restaurant recommendations. Ai Artisti was the best meal we had in an 8 night tour of Italy!

Location we found perfect, although it is in a quieter part of town we much preferred that, and it was only 1 min walk to Academia & Zattere water taxi stations.

The only negatives we can find is that the bed/pillows were quite hard (but this is normal for Italy, others may find it okay), the bed was really big so that made up for it. The breakfast area is directly outside of the rooms so you could hear people chatting during breakfast (on our first morning we wanted a lay in), this isn't a major issue though as breakfast is only 8am - 10am so its unlikely you'd be sleeping much after 9am anyway.

We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to anyone we know who is going to Venice.

We were very impressed with La Chicca. True to its rating on Tripadvisor, this little B&B doesn't disappoint.

Massimo and Sabrina are a lovely couple and very responsive on email. They even accommodated our late arrival by a day as our schedules changed. We had no problem finding the B&B thanks to their comprehensive directions via email.

La Chicca is located away from the madness of the centre of Venice where the crowds of tourists descend, which was nice. It's tucked away on a side street brimming with Italian charm. Its opulent Venetian interior is spotlessly clean, and the room huge by Venetian standards! The free wifi was well appreciated.

Breakfast each morning was lovely - there's always a selection of cereal, croissants, bread, cookies and spreads, a great way to kick off your day. Massimo was there both mornings and was very accommodating when we had to depart early and came in earlier specially to make us breakfast.

We enjoyed wandering the streets of Venice on foot and found it was in fact a pleasure to dander towards the Realto bridge or get lost in the labyrinth of alleyways but do bear in mind it's at least a 15-20min walk to the main tourist drag of Venice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Chicca and would most definitely stay here again.

I found this beautiful B&B on trip advisor, which seemed almost too good to be true. So I was ready to be disappointed. But the place is just as beautiful as it looks in the pictures! It was beautiful and clean with modern amenities. The WIFI was reliable and fast. And the room was SO spacious! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is headed for Venice.

The location was great. It was away from the craziness of St. Mark's but with plenty of things to see and eat. Also, there was a gondolier just steps away! Also, there's a boat that takes you directly to/from the airport within a 5-min walking distance. And you aren't too far from the Vaporetto stop either. St. Mark's is also not too far away. My 60-year old mother and I had no problems walking there and back.

Massimo and Sabrina were more than great! When we got there, they had a nice note with recommendations for great restaurants, one of which is where we had our best meal in Italy! The breakfast selection wasn't large but the few fresh baked goods and the cappuccino was excellent!

On the last day, we wanted to take an early boat to the airport and Massimo was nice enough to set up the breakfast before their usual time and see us off!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this lovely quaint B&B tucked away on a little side street. Our room was large, beautiful and spotlessly clean. At night it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop! Massimo and Sabrina are a lovely couple and breakfast each morning was delicious. It's location is perfect, just a very short walk to the vaporetto. We loved La Chicca and Venice.

What a great experience my wife and I just had during our 3 night stay at La Chicca. Not only was the room excellent the interaction we had with this lovely couple Massimo and Sabrina at breakfast time made our trip. It was so nice to learn about the history and what life is like for locals in this wonder of the world they call Venice. Without putting pressure on him we can confirm that the rumors are true that Massimo's Cappuccino's are pretty special and something to look forward to each morning. Although the rooms are expensive compared to other areas we have stayed in Italy we found that it was great value compared to alternative accommodation in Venice and that the room was of such high quality it represented great value under the circumstances. The rooms were large, furnished and decorated very tastefully, exceptionally clean and in a great location away from the busy areas but within a moderate but very interesting walk from Saint Marco's and other areas popular with tourists. The B and B is also close to the ferry (Acadamia) and some very good restaurants that are better and more affordable than those around the busy areas. Massimo is happy to direct you to the best restaurants and provide other information from the knowledge that he has acquired in the last 27 years that he has lived in Venice. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I had one magical night in Venice and we stayed at La Chicca. It was the most expensive place we stayed in our one month tour of France and Italy, but for Venice I think it was good value for the money. Our room was very large with plenty of space for luggage. The decor is very rich and ornate. Location was excellent - close to the water taxi to get to the more touristy sights but also felt tucked away. It was really nice exploring the neighborhood around the b&b. We were buzzed in remotely when we arrived and there was a helpful map with some restaurant recommendations nearby. Breakfast was good but not great compared to other places we stayed. The owners were very friendly, although at breakfast they more or less watched us eat which was a bit awkward.
