As part of our own walking tour we went to the Salute, great inside, great views of St.Marks from the outside.

“Fine architecture”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

Bit spartan, but free entry. Worth a visit for its sheer beauty and one of the famous landmarks on the Venice skyline.

“Amazing church, well worth a visit.”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

This place was beautiful. Other than Rocco it was my favourite place in Venice. The facade and domes from outside are amazing but the inside is wonderful. Entry is free but there's a donation box inside.

It's a great place to visit after the chaos and bustle of San Marco, just one vaporetto stop across the canal.

It's closed 12-3 everyday.

“Grand church”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

This is the "wedding cake" of churches with a huge dome and carvings everywhere. In the Dursoduro area of Venice and worth a stop

“THIS CHURCH IS PART OF VENICE SKYLINE”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

The dome of this church is recognized everywhere as part of Venice. The churches history takes you back to times when master builders made magic.
