A great little museum. The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is among the most important museums in Italy for European and American art of the first half of the 20th century. It is located in Peggy Guggenheim's former home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal in Venice. Picasso, Miro', Modigliani and many many more.

This is a must as it brings venice a little up to date with Peggy Guggenheims collection of art to see, the gardens to explore and a terrace right on the Grand Canal.

Amazing to be cheek-by-jowl with some of the greatest pieces of modern art in the world! Fabulous location too. It was a rare experience not to be missed.

Both the collection and the space were surpriseingly delightful. It's a wonderful collection of contemporary art, she had great taste - but seeing them displayed here where she lived on the Grand Canal was a treat.
We visited in early January on a beautiful quiet day, couldn't have enjoyed this area more. We walked instead of taking the water bus and loved strolling through a much less populated side of Venice than over by the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Square etc. Fell in love with the area. (It's not easy to find by foot, a hidden gem.)
We have been to Venice before and I regret not putting this on our list of things to see sooner!
Interesting side note, she is buried here along with many, many of her pets.

This is one of the most marvelous collections of twentieth century art I have ever seen. The variety is fantastic. Not 30 of this painter and 25 of that one.
