after all i'd read about this church, i expected to be blown away. for 6 euros i really wasn't, but there was a great variety of art which i could appreciate. i'm a huge Canova fan so seeing what i thought was his burial place was especially cool. interestingly enough he only has his heart buried there...creepy!

get the Rick Steve's audio tour but be warned, they will make you laugh at inappropriate times in a huge church...

We used Rick Steves guide to help us interpret the wonderful art in this church. It is simply beautiful!

We passed this church in the morning with our walking tour who suggested we return and go inside later on if we had time during our stay in Venice. We just happened to be that way later in the day when it began to rain and decided we could keep dry by visiting inside the church. We were so glad we happened to go inside. It was beautiful! So much to see and take in. The entrance fee was very small. So don't pass it by as we almost did.

There are some really nice large works of art including the "pyramid". There was something I had never seen before. There's a really large sculpture depicting Africans supporting the upper level.

A beautiful church with great art, great history, and quiet enough to enjoy. This was my favorite church. I like to stop and look. I also like to see art in the space for which it was designed. This is a greatvspotvfor both. The walk back to St Mark's Square via the Rialto Bridge is so interesting.
