Owner description: A masterpiece of Gothic architecture, the building and its sculptural decoration date from various periods. The interior, with works by artists such as Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, A.Vittoria and Tiepolo, includes vast council chambers, superbly decorated residential apartments, and austere prison cells. Along the facades of the Palace run loggias that overlook St. Mark’s Square and the lagoon. The combined entrance ticket to the St. Mark’s Square Museums grants access to the Doge’s Palace, Museo Correr, Museo Archeologico Nazionale and Monumental Rooms of Biblioteca Marciana.

Especially if The Venetian in Vegas is your only point of reference, seeing the original is a treat!

Relaxing way to spend a couple of hours, the building itself and it's ceilings in particular are amazing, jaw dropping in fact.

Part of it was closed while we were there (the Doge's apartment) but there was more than enough to see despite that.

We both particularly enjoyed crossing 'The Bridge of Sighs', you could really tangibly feel the history of the place.

This was my second favorite thing to do in Venice, the gondola ride being first. The palace is so impressive and beautiful. We walked through room after room and it seemed there was no end to it! After the mobs of people outside in the square, our visit to the place was quiet and enjoyable and we were able to take our time and enjoy every aspect of it.

Amazing place with lots of excitement and energy. There are many thing to do here and if you have an unlimited budget and unlimited time you can see it all. We did not but just to see the buildings and feel the history was enough. We also took lots of pictures. The good thing is walking around and looking costs nothing.

Loads to see, well worth it, soak up the history. It was really lovely being able to go over the Bridge of Sighs. The artwork is fantastic, the golden staircase is unbelievable.
