“Good View”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Comparisons between the Rialto and Accademia bridges are inevitable. While not as impressive to look at as the Rialto, the Ponte dell'Accademia offers a beautiful vista. Worthwhile climbing both bridges for the different views

“Rialto may be more famous but the views are here”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

The Accademia Bridge is less well-known than the Rialto, but the views are stunning from this bridge.

Try to go at sunrise and sunset for beautiful light and colours. If you've already got the 'postcard shots' why not look for everyday Venice and catch the barges transporting huge loads of water, soft drinks and other supplies to the cafes and restaurants.

You can also see over to the Peggy Guggenheim gallery and into the garden of the Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti (it houses glass exhibitions) which sometimes has sculptures in it.

“An under rated bridge...”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

For me, this was easily the most beautiful bridge in Venice. It had just the right atmosphere to stand on top and visualize the canal in front of you. While I also liked the Rialto Bridge, this one had a charm of its own. During sunset, the view of Venice sky just behind the Santa Maria church was unparalleled. Just make sure, you spend some time, just looking at the buzz around the bridge and doing nothing.

“My Favorite Bridge in Venice”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

This is the most remarkable bridge as far as I am concerned. Loved everything about this bridge. The gorgeous views, the locks, the buzz the people. This is the most incredible bridge. Go in the afternoon and definitely for sunset.

“Lovely”
Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

We walked over this bridge many times during out stay. The best time was at night when we could see the lights from the boats twinkling on the water. It was just lovely to stand and watch the world go by. We had just come out of a concert. We had heard Interpreti Venezian play Vivaldi and watching the boats from the bridge was a lovely end to a fab evening.
