Fernando led our family of 5 on the deep Castello tour away from the crowds and helping us appreciate the historical sights and modern day Venice. He pitched the content, pace and style perfectly for our boys aged 8 and 10 and the adults including grandma. It really 'sunk' in and Fernando also gave us some great advice and ideas for the rest of our week. The highlight was a visit to the gondola craftsmen. Our initial enquiry was very well dealt with by Margaret who responded to us very quickly and gave very good advice as we felt we could do the main sights on our own and were looking for something a bit different and engaging for our boys. Would recommend AGIV and would use again.

I hired Fernando through AGIV, for a tour in Venice for myself and my 22 year old grandson. I think that the guide measures the customer in the first few minutes and adjusts to meet the customer's interests and enthusiasm. Our interests were wide ranging and very genuine. Fernando is extremely knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and gave us a thousand more bits of information. He is easy to talk to and fun to be with. Most importantly, you will feel like you really learned a lot about Venice.

Sabrina led us on a "never to be forgotten" tour of Venice. She met us at our apartment in Cannaregio and for three hours kept us absolutely enthralled with her knowledge and passion for this amazing city. She first acquainted us with our local neighbourhood (wow!) and then showed us highlights of Venice, at the same time giving us historical facts and narrative that were both fascinating and enlightening. Sabrina has a wonderful personality and excellent communication skills. We absolutely loved out tour and came away feeling that we we're give a story for understanding this city and could build on that for a next few days here. I can highly recommend this tour. It was the best city tour in Europe I have ever done.

We were in Venice--our first visit--for three days at the beginning of a Venice/Dalmatian Coast cruise. Since our group tour included San Marco and the Doge's Palace, we contacted AGIV to book a private tour for our group of 4 to cover other parts of the city. We were primarily interested in getting a good orientation to the city as a whole, seeing the other major landmarks, and we wanted to include some "off the beaten path" spots, too. Margaret was great to work with--quick to respond, accommodating and very flexible--and she understood exactly what we were looking for. We opted for a 2 hour walking tour followed by a boat tour of the Grand Canal. Sabrina was our guide. Her love of the city is infectious, her knowledge of it's art and architecture most impressive and her personality and pace were a perfect fit for our little group. All in all, a great experience.

I was trying to book a tour for 13 which included a mix of young children, teens and adults for our first day in Venice. Luckily we found a guide in Venice. We had Fernando as our guide and he was completely accomodating to our large group. They were able to work out a tour for our timing as we needed to back on our cruise ship by a certain time and had 3 hours for the tour. I think that combination of the tour on the canals and the walking city tour was perfect for our group. Everyone loved the water tour as the view from the canals is completely different of the city. There is nothing like viewing the city from the canals.
The city tour was timed perfectly for us and gave us the highlights. Fernando had a water taxi waiting for us at the end of the tour so that we could get back to the cruise ship on time.
Very good experience.
