“Fernando: A Guide in Venice”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Fernando/A Guide in Vencie was great: punctual, knowledgeable and also capable of holding my daughter's attention (16) for a full three hours. Fernando knew how to dodge the queues around St Mark's Square, how to let us have the salient points on each building/object/area concisely and accurately, and make learning about Venice seriously good fun. Thank you Fernando!

“Venice with Fernando of 'A Guide in Venice'”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We spent three hours on a walking and water tour with Fernando last week...and it was perfect. He was knowledgeable and professional, waiting for us exactly on time at the prearranged location and then whisking us through the Basilica di San Marco (dodging all the queues) before showing us the Grand Canal from the water in all its glory. We could not have asked for more. He held the attention of my 16 year-old daughter for the entire three hours, no mean achievement, so congratulations Fernando! A Guide in Venice comes highly recommended.

“Great Value”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

Reservation people were very helpful in booking us a last minute private tour which included an hour private water taxi tour. Met our guide Fernando in front of St Marks and did a quick tour of the church. Lots of neat facts you'd never learn on your own. Then headed to th Grand Canal to meet our water taxi. Absolutely awesome tour of the Grand Canal, Guidecca, and back thru the main island. Then a great tour of a small church Santa Maria dei Miracoli. Walked thru the back streets to the Rialto bridge and the old market. Great day and unbelievable value for a private tour with water taxi!

“Fabulous Tour”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

We just came back from an Insider Venice tour with Nicoletta and had a wonderful time. See was very knowledgeable in all aspects of life in Venice and brought us to areas most visitors never see. It gave us a great overall view as well as ideas to go back and visit at length later. If you are here for one day or one week this is the company to use.

“Walking tour of venice”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

We used AGIV- a guide in venice- Our guide picked us up at our hotel and we went on a 2-hour walking tour to see the highlights, then a 1-hour water taxi tour with him as our guide. He spoke excellent English, and we were able to cut the long line getting into St. Marco church. It was a rainy afternoon, and he was very flexible about the weather, time, and in what order we saw things. I would highly recommend this company, and they give group as well as private tours . The price was good for what we learned and were able to do.
