Set in the Piazza San Marco, the Torre dell'Orologio stands almost in the corner not far from the Basilica. If you can, try to watch the clock strike the hour as there are figures which move through the upper section. The chimes themselves are lovely, too.

Located at the edge of St Mark's square, this clock is very interesting thing to behold.
Amazing architecture and stunning details.

Although we visited the Bell Tower to see the views from the top.

The Torre dell'Orologio is a clock tower with an impressive clock face. It is housed on a Renaissance building.

It cannot be missed and we had a different view of it from the Bell Tower as well as Piazza San Marco.

Most people who go to Venice will visit the Doge’s Palace or St Marks and whilst they may look at the outside of this clock tower building, don’t actually go inside. Buy a ticket and take a tour of it! The inside is fascinating and the view from the roof is amazing, looking down on St Marks and the square itself. Brilliant :-)

this beautiful tower features not only the winged lion of venice but an elaborate clock face. Because it stands beside the church it is easily over looked by passersby but is a beautiful decorative piece
