“Music for church”

We e went as a choir and sang in the Basilica at the 11am Mass. On the whole a very pleasant experience, despite the fact that I could not understand the priest.

“Can't Miss”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2013

For every visit to Venice, you just have to go to the Basilica. It's too iconic, too beautiful, too perfect to miss. The good news is that the interior itself is free to the public. Yes, the line might be outrageous, especially in summertime, but don't let that distract you. Opt to visit in the mid/late afternoon and during an "off" time-- not on the hour or half-hour-- and you'll have an easier wait. The treasury is not necessarily worth the extra fee, but the Pala d'Oro and the "museum"-- with a spectacular view of the Piazza below-- is worth it.

“very interesting”

of course you have to stand on the line before entering but the mosaics are fantastic! it's free but don't hesitate to pay 4 euros to visit the loggias which get you a nearer view of everything

“Beautiful”

Worth the extra few euros to go to the top and see the Greek horse statues inside and the view outside. The line always looks long to get in, but moves quickly.
