“Wonderful building with so-so collection”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

One of the most imposing palazzos on the grand canal, and definitely worth visiting if only to see the building. Although the paintings are Venetian, don't expect too much - this was long after Venice's golden age. If you want your Tintorettos, Titians, Veroneses, etc, look elsewhere. Best way to get in is buy a museum pass (currently 20euros), which gets you into several museums (including the Palazzo Ducale - more than worth the cost on it's own).

“Closed on Tuesdays”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

How sad it was to walk all around to find out that this place was closed on Tuesday :( We took the water bus from Murano for about 40 minutes then wiggled around the streets to find out it was closed.

“Fabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

A perfect experience of seeing art and architecture as one. This was one of the top 4 sites I visited in Venice. It is also one of the better restored and professionally run museums in Venice. Recommened if you have the time.

“A special place for art”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed the Ca' Rezzonico. It is a magnificent old palazzo which houses a gorgeous collection of paintings and beautifully decorated rooms by Longhi, Tiepolo etc. as well as magnificent chandeliers and furnishings.. The top floor has a huge collection of pre and post renaissance pantings owned by Egidiio Martini, hightly recommended.

“Delightful oasis of art and history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

A delightful palazzo on the Grand Canal with a superb art collection and wonderful rooms. The garden is an unusual open space in Venice where you can sit and relax away from the hectic streets and canals...and tourists! Great views up and down the Grand Canal, and across the rooftops of the city, from the top floor galleries.
