We climbed to the top for a beautiful view of the city. There was space to move around and take pictures. It is such a beautiful staircase. The small version of "Paradise" is striking.

There are lots of post saying it's hard to find, due to it's not-so-obvious location, and the fact that GPS directions arent going to be consistent in Venice.
Get to Campo Manin. It's a 5 minute walk from St. Mark's Square. Exit the square on the East side from the alley right in the middle. Walk this alley until you need to turn and take a left. Then take your next right.
The staircase is not in the middle of a big square so it will sneak up on you and surprise you, which is part of it's charm. We stayed in a place within it's square, actually attached to the building. That was quite amazing. It is very much worth a visit.
We have been here many times but always under restoration. But this time it was open! definitely worth the entrance fee and intriguing art exhibition half way up or down. Fantastic view of Venice from the top.
This little gem is hard to find but well worth the wandering. We use off line GPS which helped tremendously. Be aware if you choose to also use GPS (and I highly recommend it) the signal is sometimes slow/lost due to the height and closeness of the buildings. Recently restored enough to open to the public in the second half of 2018. Only one floor and two rooms were available to view the minimal artwork. It is worth visiting just for the climb up the winding staircase and the incredible view from the top. You can spend a bit of time up there trying to recognise landmarks. When I return to Venice (and I shall), I will visit again to see the further restorations and additional artwork. Do visit, you wont regret it and do read up on the history it will make youappreciate the location just a little bit more. Ciao
An absolute hidden gem! Barely anyone was there whilst we visited but the view from the top was amazing! You see right over Venice and can take some time getting nice photos without other tourists ruining them!
Great views, hidden gem. Beautiful staircase, hidden away in the Venice alley-ways. Worth a visit if you love arches!,
