Come early to avoid the crowd at the Piazza San Marco. What else can I say....this famous landmark in Venezia is a place pulsating with tourists. Thousands of tourists visit St. Mark's Square daily. History, art and culture can be found around the buildings in the Square. Fine restaurants line the square. Shops of various kinds and quality abound. Consumers can buy cheap sailor's hat with Venezia on it, masks, jewelries, and souvenirs a plenty.
A tourist visiting Venice for the first time should not miss this historical place. Oh how I wish I could go back to Venice again and experience the energy and beauty that could only be found in St. Mark's Square.
