Owner description: Venice's main water thoroughfare, lined with great Renaissance palaces, is a colorful and busy spectacle of gondolas and vaporetti.

Its hard not to stand and admire the amazing canals as they are packed full of boats of all sorts. The canals with their narrow walkways between them are best shared with someone as they are very romantic. The canals of Venice are something everyone should enjoy at least once in their lives.

Never seen anything like it. You just have to see it to believe it. Amazing and wonderful. The highlight was seeing a gondola being paddled by 8 Santas on Sunday morning.

Catch vaporetto #1 for a great cheap tour from St Marks Square --- just has to be done. Spend sometime at the back of the boat taking pics

Vaporetto 1 takes you around the Grand Canal where one can admired the beauty of Venice, the homes, the buildings its architecture leaves you breathless. One can see Gondolas, water taxi, side canals, Rialto Bridge and all other beauties in Venice.

Venice is a great city to go, even just for 1 day, there is sooo much to see and do. Walking down the winding streets, taking a canal gondola ride, san marco square, and so much more!
I have visited this wonderful city 4 times now, and will never get sick of coming here; one of my favorite cities in the world, or should I say in Italy. The only word of caution is if you have trouble walking over old cobble stones and there are a LOT of steps over the many many bridges, just be careful. Also if you plan on spending a night here, many of the 3-4 star hotels and below have no elevators, due to the city being so old, but the staff of these establishes will always help you; I've never had a problem yet but this will be my 2nd time just staying at hotels, vs coming in on a cruiseship! Have fun!
