Prosecco for <1 EUR / glass? Small, albeit good sandwiches close to Piazzale Roma? Free glass of water when you ask nicely? Standing at an old barrel, talking to locals and consuming all of the above mentioned? That and more you will find at Bacareto Da Lele, a ridiculously affordable place in an expensive city of Venice.

My husband and I visited Venice on the 30th of August and stumbled upon this cute tiny place by chance! There were lots of people having drinks sitting around it and on the side stairs on the edge of the canal. The service was very friendly and the price was amazing. Everything is so expensive in Venice but this place has sandwiches for a euro and a glass of wine for 0,60 cents! The glasses are smaller but well worth it. So would definitely recommend it.

€4 for 4 mini sliders or rolls (€1 each, buy 1 or buy 10). Crunchy and fresh, very busy. Apparently they do 50¢ coffee early and very cheap wine but I did not take advantage of that as I had a train to catch.
Definitely visit!!!

This place was awesome. A variety of small sandwiches on buns for one euro! Small cups of wine for less than a euro. In the cutest spot. Right on a canal and a square. Eat/drink standing up, you get used to doing that in Venice! Pretty close to the train station and P. Roma. Fantastic!!

if you have ever been to I Due Fratellini in florence you will know what to expect here the rolls are smaller but they are cheaper.... good selection of freshly made rolls and choice of about half a dozen red or white wines that will satisfy most people a tasty filled roll and a small glass of wine for 2 euro sometimes less depending on what wine you choose whats not to like it doesn`t pretend to be haute cuisine it is what it is.... went three times last week recommend you do too
