“Please visit here before leaving Venice”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

This place is fantastic, okay it's not a restaurant, there are no seats - but there is a beautiful canal next to it to sit by and watch the fish. The ambiance is just awesome - locals pushing to the front (but in a nice way), the food and drink is just so cheap as the other reviews have said 60 cents for wine (cannot be beaten)!! The sandwich rolls are lovely, we had 3 rounds of drinks and sandwiches and there was change out of 14 euros for 3 of us. Please a really must see, perhaps not in the rain though!

“Simplicity is underrated~”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

A small, simple, extremely pleasant little stop as you explore the nooks and crannies of Venice. Buy a small meat & cheese platter, have a drink and enjoy it outside as you watch boats navigate the canal... what could be better? Mostly locals here, very friendly. If you don't speak Italian, no worries... failing anything else, you can just point-and-pay. Inexpensive, small snacks here, that's the way to go. I sure miss this place!

“Perfect Venetian experience”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

We enjoyed 2 glasses of wine for 60 cents each, which is the cheapest I've ever had and it was delicious. The place was full of locals standing and chatting. A great value and a true Venetian experience.

“Simply good”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

Very good basic sandwiches for nice price of 0,99 € for example you can pay 5€ for capuccino few streets away. Bar is very small and full of locals and students. Took drink and food and sit in front of at stairs it is best away to start your walk.

“Great little wine bar”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

Found this little bar whilst wandering the Santa Croce area near the bus station. We stopped for a small beer (from 1.5 Euro) and a couple of glasses of wine (from 60 cents a glass). Excellent little find, but don't expect anything fancy. Nowhere to sit and very small, but plenty of atmosphere, and great location outside by the canal to sit and watch the world go by. Didn't try the food, but have tried cicchetta elsewhere since and wish we had tried it here now as well.
