This is a really fabulous little bar that is full of locals who will welcome you wholeheartedly and help you with your Italian.

Two lovely glasses of Merlot, a couple of fresh salami bread rolls - all for 3 euros - excellent value and a great place to be.

Discovered Da Lele while wandering the neighborhood. Nothing fancy and certainly not a tourist crowd. Very friendly folks pouring nice wines at low prices - pretty much everything less than €1. Prosecco was surprisingly good. Some cocktails are available, but we stuck to wine. Even a small, tasty sandwich can be had for €1. Loved the crowd - ranged from young Italian hipster types to a couple in their 70s who popped in for a glass of wine. Crossed my mind that it's a shame - embarrassing, frankly - that we can't have this type of place in the US. Ah, well, Da Lele is just one more excuse to visit Venice.

The food is very very very simple. Nothing to it. But if you want a cheap fuel stop only then this is your place. It is 90cents a sandwich OMG! so this place gets 4 stars on value basically. 2 mins from Piazzalle Roma but closed on Sunday

There seemed to be a pile of friends standing in and out of the shop, drinking the 60¢ wine and munching on the 90¢ mini sandwiches. Sandwiches are on great fresh bread simply assembled with filings such as homemade salami, porcheta, cheese and sun dried tomato, and such. Delicious bite in a great atmosphere, right next to the train station.

After reading the great reviews I had to see for myself and it truly lived up to its reputation with its cheap yet delicious cuisine accompanied with a glass of wine for as little as €1.70(1 bun 1 wine)
If in Venice at least has to b visited once.
