“Prosecco, sunset and gondolas”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Enjoy a real Italian restaurant away from the Venice crowds and without the tourist price tag. After wandering through the boatyard and up the stairs, we enjoyed some house Prosecco while they finished setting up the patio and opened the restaurant. The menu itself is simple but the best option is to go with the house recommendation and what they had fresh. The octopus salad was the best we had in Venice and since fresh clams were on the menu, we asked if they could serve vongole as a main.

The restaurant was full of locals and if you want a romantic place to eat home cooked food, watch the sunset and gondoliers practicing in the lagoon. Definitely worth going back to in Venice.

“Friendly people, nice food, good atmosphere”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

I don't like fish that much, but I had the seabass here.
Very nice.
Easy to find (watch for the gondola hidden in a tunnel entrance just up from the vaporetto stop - turn left from Palanca or right form Redentore).
We would go back.

“Delicious, real Italian dining experience.”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

We went to Guidecca especially , to have lunch in Trattoria Do Mori, only to find it was all closed up ( sat nov 2nd)!!How disappointed were we, having read all the great Tripadvisor reviews! We were too hungry to get the vaporetto back to St Marks so decided to explore Guidecca. Good decision ! We walked up along the canal front, going left from our vaporetto stop(palanca),and 'just about' saw a sign, through a boatyard ,for this restaurant. Lovely friendly service, limited selection on menu, but totally delicious and authentic food. Good value for the quality of our meals. We left, very happy to have found this quite hidden, but worth searching for,gem of a restaurant.

“Excellent restaurant, tucked away”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

If visiting this on foot, it is a bit of slightly disconcerting walk through an active boatyard to get there. But it is well worth it, lovely meal at a sensible price. Great seafood, both from the menu and daily specials. It was very quiet when we visited on a Tuesday night. Excellent service

“hidden place to dine”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

You will hardly find this place, surrounded by hundreds of motor boats at the south edge of Giudecca. But you will be glad to have found it...
