“Calm cool and ideally located for a sizzling Venetian Summer Holiday”

We loved this safe quiet residential apartment. We stayed a delightful 10 days. The high ceiling in the huge living area, cool marbled floors and the air con was a much needed relief after a hot day seeing the high lights of venice. We were 5-10 mins from saint rocci, saint barnaba (ai artisti cafe), academia, ca rezonicco and its vaporetto stop. The tiny kitchen was enough for us - so many good restos and deli's nearby.
It was good to have the washing machine and dishwasher.

Small gripes: First the shower was a bit small and needs attention. Then, the little second room would be practical in winter but was far to hot in summer despite good air con units downstairs. Finally, getting to the apart was a mission because of bridges (4 or 5) and baggage, my daughter and I would have appreciated (paid for) assisstance here. The direction map was not clear nor bridges explained for those who do not know Venice well). The man who finally met us did not think to offer assistance until we arrived at the apart stairs and my daughter sobbed that she
couldn't go on!

Nonetheless, i must note if you are traveling with a pet (2 chihuahua in our case) this apartment is unbeatable for value and charm that largely offset any nuisance we experienced.

“Beautiful apartment in great location - we were thrilled with it”

Had a great few days in Venice, staying at Palazzo Foscarini. The apartment is large and beautifully maintained - it was great to have the chance to stay in an authentically Venetian setting. It's just a shame that we weren't there at a warmer time of year to enjoy the view from the little balcony over the beautiful neighbouring gardens.
The Dorsoduro neighbourhood was fantastic - not as crowded with tourists as the rest of the city, but still within easy walking distance of St Mark's Square and especially of the Accademia and the Guggenheim. The Campo Santa Margherita was just around the corner and a perfect place for a meal out or drink in the evening.
Irene was very attentive when meeting us and showing us to the apartment, and her suggestion that we have a meal at La Zucca was spot-on (I'd recommend that, too!).

“Interesting and historic building - full of character”
Reviewed February 3, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

If you want a touch of old Venice, this is an apartment in an old palazzo, formerly owned by one of the important Venetian families of which two were Doges! As a result, it is a quirky layout with a massive salon but tiny kitchen and second bedroom. It is great fun to stay in and, importantly in January, was warm. It was comfortably furnished. If you travel there in winter, take wellies as the surrounding streets can flood making it difficult to get round. Despite the constant rain and floods, we had a wonderful time!

“great apartment in fabulous location”

A friend and I loved our stay in Ca' Zucchero, one of the the Palazzo Foscariini properties. The apartment was comfortable and spacious; very clean, with every amenity that we could want. All this and on a canal! There are some really good restaurants in the area, and it is handy to a vaparetto stop.

Anna, the manager, was just great setting the rental up. However, the agent who met us with the key was less than helpful. She arrived 20 minutes late, and seemed put out that we intended to finish the beverages we had ordered while we were waiting. After the fact, we realized that we really could have used a familiarization with the appliances, and the location of the fuse box. None was offered, and we didn't think to ask. When I reminded her that the advertising stated that there was a change of linen after one week, she seemed surprised, and said she would check. None ever came, and I feel 9 days is too long for the same sheets and one bath towel.

We really loved coming back to the quiet area after a busy day walking about. Very nice and cosy apartment. Offers everything and is very clean. Would always come back here. Very friendly staff.
