We were first time visitors with seasoned travelers, we were all very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and up to date accommodations with Venitian charm. The suite was extremely roomy and was the first hotel that offered a queen size sofa sleeper. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. Air conditioning worked very well even to South Florida standards. We all we would not hesitate to recommend and return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Request a suite if you are a family of four.

I was I awe.... It's a beautiful hotel with v clean bathroom & v spacious rooms we had two adjacent rooms as we were 4 (2 adults & 2 small children)... I wanted to give it a full 5 on 5 till this sri lankan guy decided to open our room's door at 6 in the morning & apologised saying he didn't know that the room was occupied (couldnt buy that excuse... Especially when the hotel had only about 20 rooms ) ..... Surprisingly... Next day, this guy decided to repeat the same mistake.. This time, he wanted to check the plants in the balcony & didn't even bother to knock the door... The time was about 5 in the morning... Felt v unsecured....the rooms couldn't be locked from inside... The hotel needs to teach its staff some basic courtesy...

True romantic getaway; about 15 minute walk from the train station; we loved the location since it put you in a less touristy area of Venezia. Just a couple streets from cafes and quaint little shops; we loved the neighborhood feel in the area; it's a good half an hour walk to the Rialto; definitely travel by water to San Marco if you want to save your energy for the activies in that area. We highly recommend the water taxi tour that was arranged by the hotel staff; wonderful experience compared to the touristy vaporettos and gondolas; we went to Venice prepared to have it be our least favorite stop (we did Florence, Venice & Rome) and fell in love with the place - this in part due to where we stayed and what we experienced at Hotel Al Duca di Venezia and the local "neighborhood"....room was lovely (the red room), clean, comfy bed, nice bathroom; breakfast was fine; would have appreciated a little more fresh fruit and possibly more pastries choice but let's face it with the other dining you'll be doing and gelato it isn't necessary for breakfast to be a blockbuster. Staff was so attentive. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Very enjoyable stay with my family at this hotel. the standout for me was the rooms - large and beautifully presented with traditional venetian furnishings. Staff during our stay were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included and was perfectly adequate without being great. Very conveniently located between the rail station and Venice central. We would definitely return when next in Venice.

We spent three nights in a gold classic room and it was nicely decorated but very small. If you like bigger spaces, upgrade to a Superior room. It was fine for us but anyone who is on the large size may have some issues navigating past the bed to the bathroom (about 12 inches from the end of the bed to the wall!). Also, bathroom is beautiful and feels like it's about half the size of the room! Although part of the ceiling in the bathroom is VERY low. I had trouble blow drying my hair and I am a 5'7" tall woman. My husband had to stoop when in front of the mirror. The shower is a typically very narrow italian shower but great water pressure and no issues with hot water. The staff here are so friendly and helpful for any question you may have. Almost feels like a family run place. The location is great - very close to the train station (Santa Lucia) but away from the crowded touristy areas of Saint Mark's Square.

Room Tip: Book a superior room as the classic rooms are VERY small.

Bit late as we went in Febuary over Valentines day but was a lovely hotel, very helpful as getting around Venice isn't easy! Rooms were decorated to a very hight standard, breakfast was basic but with an nice selection of meats and sweet dishes. Excellent Value as is a little out of the main hussle and bussle but only requires 10 minutes on the water bus #2 and to be honest i wouldt want to have stayed in the centre, far too busy and more expensive!

Overall would definitley stay again and would recommend to anyone.

Generally a great hotel. We found the location to be a haven from the busy tourist areas. The hotel is located in a quiet area with a great local feel. The local square has some reasonable restaurants and bars, we decided to eat in this area after citing the Rialto bridge and the main square. Breakfast was adequate with good service.

Venice can be a bit daunting at first as there are no cars and many narrow streets alleys. We landed at Marco Polo airport and decided on a river taxi. This seems to be a fixed price of 110 euros to central Venice, for us the taxi proved great as it dropped us of about 30 m from the hotel door. If you decide on the river bus you need to take the Alilaguna orange line to San Stae stop. This is 16 euro per person takes about 45 minutes and departs approximately every 30 min. This stop is a few hundred metres away through a couple of narrow streets.

We had a Red Room but were a little disappointed there is more than one Red Room and we were not in the main room shown on the website. Our Red Room was a little on the small size but was called a superior room.

Generally a good hotel.
