Al Vaporetto’s is as advertised. It is the only eatery in Venice that my Lady and I patronized more than once during our 5-day stay. We had exceptional food on each occasion and excellent service on the first. The service was slow on our 2nd visit, but was understandable since a party of about 50+ students and chaperones entered a few minutes after we did.

The ‘free Internet’ service worked very well on each visit. I used my MacBook and my Lady used her iPhone.

After paying much higher prices for lesser quality food and tastiness, Al Vaporetto’s was really appreciated. We ate, spaghetti and seafood (clams and mussels), fried calamari, salad, roasted potatoes, My Lady said her spaghetti was very good but the meat sauce was too meaty and was average in taste. I’d never suspect that roasted turkey (with gravy) would be superb in Venice, but it is certainly was at Al Vaporetto. And, so were the roasted potatoes! Try it … whether you like as much as we did or not, you won’t feel as though you wasted your money.

We found Al Vaporetto on our first evening in Venice. It looked bright and welcoming and was full of italian couples and families eating. It had a Tripadvisor sticker so we thought we'd try it.

We ordered the daily fish menu (2 courses with salad, potato or veg side + coffee) for 18 euros and pizza and tirimisu. The food was hot and freshly cooked and pretty good. The total bill was 53 euros. If you drink beer it is better value to order a litre, if you can pick up the huge tankard it comes in as it is the same price as two 0.4 litre glasses.

The waiters were very efficient and pleasant. Matteo and Manuel spoke excellent english and were particularly helpful. Matteo is a real asset to the restaurant!

We actually ate there on three out of the four evenings we were in Venice as we knew we would get good value for money. It can be very expensive to eat out in Venice and the prices in restaurants vary considerably. I would go back to Al Vap.

We went for lunch as a couple, and were swayed by a "Trip Advisor Recommended" sign on the entrance door.

We ordered two daily menus, one with meat & pasta, the other with risotto and seafood salad. Dishes were really small, even the green salad. Waitors were foreign and not especially pleasant. The food was good, but I think that we could have spent ~50 EUR in a better way.

Nice pasta & pizzeria spot in the centre of Venice. Service is friendly and fast, prices are low and the pasta is quite good.
It was one of the few (only?) restaurant we visited in Venice with paper tablecloths, nice pattern, but still paper...
Anyway, you will not be disappointed

We went here on our first night in Venice. There was a good atmosphere and the was a varied menu and the prices were reasonable. Service was good and although there was a mix up with one of the courses, this was down to translation problems and was no one's fault. However the waiter was very apologetic. We did have better food at other restaurants during our stay however they were all more expensive. Would not hesitate going back whenever we return to Venice.
