Owner description: With tickets from €25 (€15 for children) VENEZIA at Teatro San Gallo, is a celebration of Venice. A light hearted, exuberant and entertaining show that illuminates some of the stories and traditions of the city in a very theatrical and enjoyable way. In this, the last private theatre in Venice, where once there were over 100, the cast of live performers bring to life the fascinating background events of this city's glorious and often scandalous past. Our wish at the theatre is to add to your understanding of this Great City's important story and entertain you along the way.

“What fun!”

This show is fun and informative about the history of Venice. It is in English and the theatre is very easy to find. Is it a Tony winner? No but you will have fun on a reasonably priced night out!

“Good value infotainment”

This show was a nice way to spend an evening in Venice and I learned a few things too. While it was a bit amateurish at times, there were definitely some laugh out loud moments. At less than €40 I'd recommend it as an affordable evening activity and good for improving your knowledge of the city's history.

“English show.”

This is a fun show and very informative. There was a BBC documentary, time for wine then a live show with props and film was simply great fun.

“a MUST see and do in Venice.”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

My husband and I stumbled upon the poster while walking towards the vaporetto, and our curiosity was piqued. We wrote down the number and thought if we made it back in time form Murano then we might check it out. We were very disappointed that we missed out on the glass blowers in Murano and made it back just in time to catch the show. For 40 Euros each we were contemplating at the cash register about 30 seconds into the show, that we almost missed it. But we both agreed that the price was actually more than reasonable for 40 Euros for the show that includes dinner afterwards. And as it turned out, this was the wisest decision we've ever made! Not only did it make up for the disappointment for missing out on the glass blowers, we were more than entertained and glad to have been able to understand more about Venice's history and how it is today. We highly recommend this show to everyone to be able to truly appreciate Venice for what it is, more than just charming, it is an enchanting experience.

“Evening entertainment in English”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

A very good over-view of how Venice came to be what it was and is today.

Second part reinforced what was covered in the first part.

Thoroughly enjoyable.
