Stayed here for two nights in April. Arrived by water taxi to be greeted on the canalside by the porter. The staff were fantastic. Nothing was any trouble, and you are always greeted with a smile. Breakfast on the canalside is just perfect. Fantastic choice of food. The bedroom was beautifully decorated. When i return to Venice I will definitely stay here.

The staff went out of their way to ensure your stay was a really memorable experience. The breakfast buffet was as good as any I have had in many years of overseas travel on both business and pleasure

Friendly staff, beautiful rooms with view of the grand canal, sun drenched terrace, amazing breakfast, evening drinks before being picked up by water taxi - a great location away from the crowds - we could not have asked for anything better.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a chew of the canal

My wife chose this hotel for a mid-week break in April in the hope that Venice would be cooler and less crowded than it is in the summer months. The location was important as we did not want to rely on water taxis and this hotel is within easy walking distance of the bus station (for the airport). It is pretty central to the city and we found that we could easily walk to explore the city and the Santa Croce area was scenic and peppered with places to eat.

The hotel was excellent and everything seemed to be immaculate, perhaps recently renovated throughout in recent years? The furnishings were very much in the Italian/Venetian style and rooms had names/themes rather than room numbers and so had individaulity. We had one of the cheaper rooms whose windows faced a next-door building but this was not an issue. The room was spacious and quiet and included air conditioning and wi-fi. Even though the hotel is on the Grand Canal where water traffic is busy, noise was never an issue.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We were pleasantly surprised by the buffet breakfast, which we expected to be minimal. Instead there was a wide range of different breakfast foods available, including scrambled and boiled eggs, a kind of bacon and some sausage - so it was almost possible to recreate a full-English breakfast! There were also breakfast options such as omelettes that could be ordered from the kitchen at extrat cost.
