Our spacious and very clean apartment slept five comfortably. Convenient to the Piazza Roma and the Santa Lucia train station. Had a view of one of the smaller canals and could watch the gondolas go by. The owners were extremely helpful. Same accommodations near St. Mark's Square would be twice as much! A true taste of Venice. Stairs could be a hindrance to some, as there is no elevator. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This was an amazing place. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the end of our cuise. If you are cruising, this is a an excellent location as it is within walking distance of Piazalla Roma, the train and bus station, and close to nearby attractions and the grand canal.

We shared a 1 bedroom apartment with a canal view with another couple to reduce costs. The apartment was on 2 floors: the kitchenette, dining room and livingroom on the 2nd floor and the bedroom and bathroom on the third floor. There were 4 of us but the apartment was quite large and could accommodate up to 6 people as there was a double bed in the bedroom, a double pull-out sofa bed and 2 twin pull-out sofa beds in the livingroom. Although we didn't cook, the well equiped kitchenette was convenient for us to make our morning tea.

We were there 2 days and 2 nights. The only complaint I have is that the air conditioning did not seem to work and it was very hot in the apartment resulting in us having trouble sleeping. When I spoke to the attendant in charge I was told by the first one that it was working but we just couldn’t hear it. When I spoke with the second attendant the next day he said that we should just open the windows, which we had already done but it was still hot in the apartment.

Overall it was a very nice hotel and the staff was very helpful. If not for the heat I would definitley stay there again.

A few weeks ago we decided among a group of friends give to a newly married couple with a staying in Venice as a wedding gift. After looking at nearly 80 hotels we chose the Palazzo Odoni, run by Michele and Ema Giangreco. This establishment offered us the double chance of hotel room and apartment, it seemed very romantic and was very well located, close to the port, bus terminal and train station Santa Lucia.
But the real surprise was that, to contact them, Ema Giangreco proved to be a true professional in the organization of weddings, vow renewals and honeymoons.
From the beginning, she gave us every facility to book an apartment overlooking the Gaffaro Canal to make it more beautiful, gave us a lot of very interesting suggestions that would be a surprise for the newlyweds on arrival, with a very warm treatment, engaging with genuine interest and enthusiasm in hosting the couple with flowers, toasts, breakfast in the garden and a lot of remarkable details.
As a perfect ending to the stay, she hired a gondola ride ending at La Fenice Restaurant, where they had reserved a table for a romantic dinner at candlelight.
And all for a really balanced price. Venecia is not a cheap city, but we came out better than doing it on our own and better than other hotels we had looked.
The Giangreco know how to convey the spirit of Venice to lovers and have always been willing to help in whatever they needed during their stay. Our friends have been happy to have lived an experience they will never forget, and we have been great with such a personal attention.
Do not hesitate, if you want a special place for a special occasion, choose the Palazzo Odoni. In addition to its many conveniences and comforts, will make your stay an unforgettable experience.
Ema, thanks for your professionalism as organizer and your warm attention.

If you are cruising, this is a good location. Be mindful of the stairs if carrying large suitcases as it is a good climb, but all of Venice is like that.
We shared an apartment ( 2 couples) to reduce costs and for 2 nights it was doable.
I bedroom, pullout couch and 1 bathroom . Small kitchenette which we did not use.

My sister and I, along with our partners started a 3 week European vacation in Vienna in April and May. We wanted to keep costs down and wanted to be immersed in all cultural experiences of all cities and made all arrangements on line using trip advisor as a guide. After a night in Vienna, we took a train to Venice and Residence Palazzo Odoni was exactly what we wanted and MORE.
We walked from the train station and although we got lost, the locals knew the residence and gave great directions. Although it is close to the train station, it is far enough so that you get immersed in the Venetian life style from the start.
With a very unpretentious gate, you ring the door bell and Michele greets you and leads you through the most amazing courtyard. The staircase leads you into a building that is what you imagine a 5th generation Venice villa.
Our apartment was a large one bedroom unit with a living area that could be closed into another sleeping area with a large curtain. There was a nice kitchen with a large table and a huge modern bathroom with a jacuzzi tub/shower and bidet. The decor was again what you would expect of an antique building, and yet with all modern amenities and very clean.
At night candles lined the courtyard and the staircase creating an absolutely romantic setting.
Whenever we opened the gate to enter or leave the apartment, people outside would look in with the same awe we felt when we arrived. The apartment is on a canal within close walking distance to all Venice has to offer. Getting lost in the wonderful streets and canals and finding hidden gems is something that must be experienced by anyone travelling to Venice and Residence Palazzo Odoni is the perfect base.
Michele & Emanuela Giangreco are exactly the type of hosts you would expect from 5th generation residence in Venice - cultured, classy, speaking excellent English with the perfect Italian style.
Thank you both for the excellent start to our European adventure. We hope we can return some day.
