“value for money”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

Casa in Laguna is a newly renovated small 4-bedroom B&B. It is very neat and clean and the owner Marco is always helpful with advise.
When you find your way to the place your first thought might be that it is in a little corner at the end of Venice. Once you settle in you will discover that this place is still close to all main attractions but away from the touristic noise. There are quite a few restaurants around where locals have their meals and hence the meals are cheaper than in the rest of Venice.
The ensuiet bathroom is new and clean. The breakfast is simple but their is enough to get full and Marco serves real cappuccinos and lattes with the breakfast which adds an additional Italian touch. The air-conditioning and the free wi-fi add extra features that are not easy to find in this price category.
The B&B fulfills what it promises and is certainly great value for money.

Room Tip: There are two rooms with balcony towards the canal, the other two don't have a view but they are...

Personally....I'd love to keep this wonderful little place a secret. Wouldn't want to see it become hard to get a reservation...or become soo sought after that it gets expensive.....because right now...it's perfect!!
Honestly...you could not ask for a better location. Right on a canal, with a terrace (ask for a terrace room) to sit and watch the variety of boats pass by.

The rooms are clean and large and there is AC if needed. Also has wifi. Beds are a bit on the firm side...but some folks will like that anyway. Breakfasts are complete with all the basics...cereal, pastery, coffee....a good start to the day...and you can take it to the terrace as well. That's exactly what we did every morning. There is a common room you can eat in as well, and a fridge you can use to store items.

Marco does not live there...but has everything set up so you can easily take full advantage of what you might need. He, or his dad, Franco, will be there in the morning with breakfast all set to go. One of them will also be there upon your arrival to greet you and give you keys and info.

The B&B is easily within walking distance from everything. The vap stop is an easy walk...and there are many places to eat and even a nearby market. All the major sights are walkable as well.
It is a charming and quiet location with a view you can simply sit and look at the whole time.

Room Tip: Because Marco does not live there and nobody is working inside full time....be very sure to give him...

We stayed here in 7/09 and we had an amazing experience. Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was provided by Marco daily.....his cappucino's were amazing. We had a small porch overlooking the canal which was incredible. This place was away from the hustle and bustle of Venice and it was so serene and relaxing. I will be going back to Venice at some point and I will, without question, be staying here again. Marco was an incredible host who really took the time to make our stay special. He gave us restaurant advice and went above and beyond his duties as an owner to help us any way possible. The best thing about this place is the porch that overlooks the canal. It had a couple chairs and was awesome for morning coffee or happy hours in the evening. Thanks for a great stay Marco!

What a lovely little B&B in Venice! Marco greeted us the afternoon of our arrival and was a wonderful host throughout our stay. Every morning he had a selection of bread and cereal, fresh orange juice and coffee ready for us to start our day. We took our breakfast to the outdoor terrace which was quite lovely. The hotel is within easy walking distance from a vaporetto stop and not far from Saint Mark's Square. The canal can be a bit loud on occasion with the comings and goings of water taxi's and commercial boats but it was so nice to spend the evenings on our own terrace that the occasional noise was easy to overlook. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who needs a clean, modern and yet inexpensive room in Venice. Kudos to Marco and thanks for making our stay so pleasant.

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. Well located to visit the city but in a quiet neighborhood, close to reasonably-priced restaurants. Just meters from a vaporetto station. Rooms are modern but with style, owner and son attend personally. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This b&b was in a good location, as it is only fifteen minutes from the Rialto bridge and San Marco square and close to a vaporetto stop. It was a great base from which to explore the city. Our triple room, which had a balcony overlooking a canal, was spacious, modern, and clean. In fact, it was cleaned every day that we stayed there. The host, Marco, was extremely helpful. He was there to greet us when we arrived and provide us with the information that we would need for our stay. Each morning, he was also on-hand to serve breakfast, which included fresh pastries, coffee, juice, yogourt, and cereal. He even ensured that a breakfast was ready for us on our departure day when we had to leave early. There was a common fridge for the use of guests. I can think of very little negative to say, except perhaps that the beds were a bit hard and that I would have liked to have had wifi access. Overall though, this is a great place to stay!

We recomended the apartment of this B&B, the name is "due porte". Excellent localitation, and service. The manager, Marco, waiting for you at the time you arrive the city, and provide you and your family of all facilities and information. 8 min S. Marco, near restaurants and a pizza office at the beside street. Very clean and keeping. Small, but isn´t necessary more. Complete kitchen and bathroom. Quiet area and traditional.
