Food was good. Staff was excellent and attentive. Risotto was excellent. The only negative comment was the service was slow. Worth stopping

Had a very nice meal here, was quite expensive due to the sevice charges. Desserts were brought out on a board so we could choose, they were very good. People have moaned about the Pizzas on here, but they are not allowed to have pizza ovens in Venice due to fires, so not traditionally made. Nice to sit outside. Service friendly.

We stumbled across this restaurant, in an attractive square. That is about the only good thing that can be said about it.
The tasteless seafood pizza arrived lukewarm. The waitress offered to reheat it, which we refused & requested a new pizza, as a reheated pizza would be like eating leather. She said that as she regarded the plate as warm, we would be charged for two pizzas. We refused and asked for the bill minus the disgusting pizza. She said come what may we had to pay. We paid for what we ate and drank minus the pizza.
The waitress was extremely rude and confrontational, bordering on aggressive. She discussed our issues with an adjoining table and refused to bring the manager. Her rude attitude was shared by the rest of the waiting staff.
A place to avoid like the plague.

We decided to walk through some very narrow but beautiful somVenetian streets and see where we ended up. We turned acorner into a wonderful open space, Campo Sant Angeli and sat at a table at the Hostaria Galileo. Friendly staff helped us choose from the menu and we ended up having a great meal. Recommended are the Sicilian pizza and the delicious sea food risotto. The desserts were also excellent, esp the canoli and the cherry and cream mousse. Great food, lovely open space, great for people watching, friendly staff.

We had been walking all morning and really needed to sit down and eat. Because of the cover charge and the fact that it was a cafe in a busy campo, I really didn't expect much. But the food was really quite good - my daughter thought it was the best pizza she had in Venice. My husband had a vegetable pizza that was excellent, and the salad was fresh and tasty. Our waiter was very pleasant.
