It offers a selection of "a la carte" dishes lovingly prepared by the chef using all fresh, natural ingredients from the area around Venice and the Lagoon, accompanied by wines from the well-stocked cellar. Hostaria Galileo also has two cosy indoor rooms available that are suitable for business lunches and dinners.

Good standard Venetian tourist restaurant. The service was good, attentive but not over bearing. The food was reasonable. Good pizza but the Carbonara was nothing to write home about. The bathroom was a little flooded and the flush was constantly running.

This was of the beaten path. When we arrived it was relatively quiet but as the sun went down it more persons came. We liked the fact that it wasn't as crowded or as noisy as some of the other restaurants around st marks piazza or the rialto bridge. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent.

The food was very good and the portions where filling. The Lasagna in particular was just so hearty yet creamy, very very tasty. It was also reasonably priced. I suspect the food here is also much better than in the main piazza as well based on discussions afterwards with some friends.

Definitely worth it, even more so if you don't like noise and crowds

I had an excellent Lunch here on the 18th of November 2013 on the Terrace in the sun.
I also had 1/2 ltr. of white wine.
The plaza has a nice view.
The waitress was friendly.

We sat in the outdoor patio and relaxed with several beers. Located in a very quiet and scenic square.
