“Typical and very good”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

It is an over-crowded typical venetian restaurant. Lots of locals eat and drink here all day long. Great chichetti! Fair wines. Reasonable prices.
Worth visiting.

“Taste a few and go back for more”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Lovely place to try out many flavours

Try some chichetti which you like the look of and then go back for some more of your favourites and some new ones all washed down with some excellent wines

“Great place for cicchetti but learn how to order first”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

This place is very popular with locals as well as tourists, so it's important to know how to order cicchetti here. You have to compete with others to place your order as there is no line - only a clump. The impatient woman expects you to tell her first how many items total you are going to order (e.g. "cinque"), then start telling her "one of this, two of this, one of this," etc. until you meet your total. They have a huge selection of things to eat and are constantly preparing new items.

They do not prepare orders "to go" but might ask if you are going to eat inside or outside. If outside (standing only, there are no seats) they will give you disposable plates/glasses rather than china/glass. If you eat inside, you'll be standing at a counter along the wall behind you. No seats. I can't remember at what point you pay, but be prepared to pay before they hand you your plate.

“A glimpse of Venetian's lifestyle”
Reviewed May 25, 2013 via mobile

A good selection of the best italian wine with every prices, from a glass of cabernet with one euro to a glass of amarone that costs 6 euro once. The typical chicheti are very good, did with local ingredients and they are homemadely cooked. A must.

“Cantinone Gia Schiavi 15/05/13”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

What a fantastic surprise to happen upon this marvelous little restaurant. The speciality 'cicheti' are freshly made and are the ideal light meal whilst walking around Venice. No airs or graces here, just fantastic local food at a very reasonable price. Perfect setting in the Academic area by the canal. Will be back next trip..every day
