This hotel was one of many recommended for our first stay in Venice but it's accommodations for 4 sealed the deal. Was bigger then expecting...bathroom was in main room on 1st floor. Was split level with a double (pull out) bed upstairs with its own microwave, tv and a/c. Our teenaged boys slept upstairs comfortably. Suite was exceptionally clean. Being tucked away in the very cool and narrow Calles in Venice, it was so quiet in the morning that we overslept. Just a 5 minute walk from the water bus if you wish to get around Venice that way. Free wifi...fresh euro continental breakfast optional. 15 minute walk from St. Marks square. We booked directly and received a slight discount for not going through expedia. No surprises on bill. Will look here first if traveling to Venice again.

Firstly the hotel was a little difficult to find, turning left at the Vini' restaurant brought you to a narrow lane but there was no sign/instructions that would make you turn off this narrow lane into another narrow lane where the hotel could be found. A well placed sign on the wall could solve this. I was not aware that the reception would close at 7 pm and that there was nobody about after that time, this could have been mentioned on the web site. Seems a bit strange that you needed to leave your room key on an unattended reception when you go out. Anybody could take the key. Other than that the room was modern, clean and had everything necessary, the hotel is a short walk to Rialto and St Marks Square etc. There was a leak from an upstairs room into the ceiling of our bathroom which will need to be fixed.

I think this is a good get away spot.
Read some disappointing comments from other UK travellers so I had my reservations upon arrival. I think we are spoiled with our 200ml molton browns in every better guest house in UK and we must not expect the same.
The room was clean, modern, yes some maintenance could had been done, but where not.
Great location, helpful staff, breakfast was adequate...you would get a breakfast for more money outside.
All and all, despite the obvious ikea touches, the hotel has a nice charm, quiet and secure.
Would return and recommend

A great hotel in an excellent location, very helpful staff and very personable. Our room (no.3) was excellent with views onto the canal. I have read reviews that the hotel is difficult to find, however we found it very easily, you have to walk along two narrow streets as you approach it but then that's Venice! I strongly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room no. 3

Once we found the hotel we were very pleased with everything we found. Lovely bedroom and bathroom - very clean and modern decor. Surprisingly quiet for such a central location. Close to Ca'D'Oro waterbus station.

Reception staff could not have been more helpful, making theatre and restaurant reservations and helping us print out boarding passes.

Breakfast area is small and can get crowded. If the weather is good you can sit and eat in the courtyard.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.

Well-priced for such a good location. Near to water bus station and close to shops, restaurant, and a supermarket. The staff Marco was very welcoming, giving us a lot of info about venice attractions without being asked. We even was given a free upgrade, special treat for our honeymoon. The entry is through small alley ways but we had no problem with safety.

Booked this a few months in advance as it was reasonably priced. Wasn't sure what to expect as this was not the most expensive place to stay in Venice but was very pleasantly surprised when we did arrive.
Seen some reviews on here saying its difficult to find, well, its only difficult to find if you are stupid and don't plan your route before you leave. If you can get to Strada Nuova from Ca D'Oro then this is the easiest place to find. The Hotel instructions are clear and if followed you can't go wrong. It was nearly dark when we arrived and I found it without taking one wrong turn. Incidentally check out restaurant Vini Da Gigio if you stay here, its not cheap but well worth it. You pass it on the way to the hotel so theres a clue for those of you who are navigationally challenged. Hotel was spotlessly clean and in very good condition. We got an upgrade to a canal view room without asking and it was fantastic. The staff were very polite and helpful, especially Michel, nothing was too much trouble. We had amazing weather for March when we stayed and the whole experience of Venice and staying at this hotel was brilliant. There is a supermarket just around the corner and the water bus stop at Ca D'oro is less than 3 mins walk from Hotel, you can walk to Rialto Bridge in 10 minutes too, or take the water bus. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again if I return to Venice.

Room Tip: If you can get a room with a canal view it adds to the experience. The hotel is in a very quiet area...
