My husband, Jon and I, stayed at Alessandro's Ca' Barba for 3 nights in September. Alessandro met us at the valporetta stop near the Rialto bridge and his B&B. The room we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable. He gave us much good advice about places to go, and even drew an incredible map (with 4 bridges, 2 palazzo crossings, and right and left turns at bakeries or gelato shops) to get to La Zucca, a wonderful restaurant. The breakfast was outstanding -- fresh croissants, yogurt, cappuccino, etc., etc. We loved Venice and would recommend Ca' Barba to anyone who wants a great location, wonderful host, and a place to relax after enjoying a day or night exploring this fantastic city.
