“Not overly impressed”
Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

This is a nice ristorante on the square with dining inside or out. The vegetable soup was not good. The veal was good but we should have ordered vegetables to go with it. So made it a very bland meal but that was our fault. Overpriced for what we had.

“Excellent service, poor cuisine”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

The service was great, the food was awful. Chef boyardee style pasta, mushy, and bland, mixed with velveeta style cheese. My husband had the cannelloni with spinach and ricotta which was covered in a thick al fredo style sauce, bland. I originally ordered tortellini soup, which they graciously did not charge us for when I discovered it was filled with ham. The four cheese pasta offered in its place was unedible due to sour cheese. They offered us Parmesan to top, which was as clearly not fresh (kraft anyone?). I will add again that the service was impeccable, but the food clearly defines this place as just another tourist trap. Please avoid, unless you only plan on drinking the vino.

“I ate too much!”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Their food is wonderful and the service could not be more helpful and prompt. It was great to sit at a table as the sun went down, enjoying my meal while the children played in the piazza.

“Poor service and terrible food”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

We ate here our first night in Venice. We were hungry and tired of walking and this place looked like nice outdoor seating/patio in San Stefano square.

The service was very poor - the waiter was abrupt and didn't smile at all. And the food was incredibly overpriced which we quickly learned is the case in many of the squares where there are a lot of tourists. I asked where the bathroom was and I got blank stares with a point.

We ordered our food and drinks (pizza and a calzone with wine) and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, both had no flavour and were completely soggy with grease. It was the worst pizza I had the entire time I was in Italy.

Avoid this place!

“Good food, caring service, modedrate prices”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

This restaurant on Campo San Stefano was near our hotel and we ate a number of dinners here. Charming outdoor eating. Good food (not gourmet). Moderate (for Venice) prices. Went out of there way to accommodate when our 7 year old granddaughter became ill and we needed take out. Treated like life long customers by the second visit.
