Owner description: The only jazz club in Venice offers live concerts every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, from 9 to 11pm.Usually closed in january and August. Look for classic and modern jazz, Latin jazz, and bossa nova. VJC is NOT a restaurant, but we make some food BEFORE the concert, from 8pm.

“Great date idea!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

It was a nice little date night! We had a couple of drinks and experienced some really nice Jazz. It wasn't life changing but wonderful to have the experience.

Reservations are not required, but I would suggest it. They will have a table ready for you with a good view. This isn't a very big place, which I liked because I didn't want to have to stand up. We didn't have food there because we wanted to go out for pizza afterwards.

As with anything else in Venice, it's easy to get a little turned around trying to find this location. Google maps will only help so much, so get out your handy printed map and head out a little early

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

Intimate little venue with extremely talented musicians. The music chosen seemed a little disorganised but that added to the charm of being up close to the musicians seeing the sometimes confused look on their faces when Fredrico anounced what was coming next. Definitely worth a visit for £30 ahead we had entertainment food and a bottle of prosecco.

“Great little club”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

This club is a great little venue. It plays fantastic music and has a great vibe to it. We had the food and while they dont serve a food menu they have a choice of either lasagne or canelloni. I had the lasagne which was very nice and filled a hole.!
The entertainment was brilliant and were treated to a one off appearance by les de merle and his band who had an off night from the cruise liner that had docked overnight.! They were brilliant and so were the resident band.!
Well worth a visit.!

“Ok jazz, nothing great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Came with my wife on a Saturday night in August. I was excited after having read multiple glowing reviews about the quality of the music and experience. In their defense, the pianist disclosed that the bass and guitar players were last minute stand-ins, and it showed. Pretty lackluster performance, minimal improvisation. Middle-of-the-road experience. I would probably go back to give it a second shot though.

“Best evening of the holiday by far!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Went here with my daughter. We took up the offer of "eats and entry" at 30 euros pp. As it is 20 euros for entry, this seemed like a good option as we were then settled where we wanted to be without the need to go searching out the club after eating elsewhere. Don't take this option - have your meal elsewhere as the eats are really not worthy of the name BUT the music is WONDERFUL!!!! We had a super night. The pianist is fantastic, but the drummer is just simply the best I have ever heard, absolutely first class. In fact the entire four piece ensemble is just a wonderful mix. Go and enjoy and spread the word!!!!
