Look for classic and modern jazz, Latin jazz, and bossa nova. VJC is NOT a restaurant, but we make some food BEFORE the concert, from 8pm.

“Great Night Out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

We are not experts on Jazz but we thought the whole night was great and one of our most memorable Venice experiences! We were able to book through our hotel. I would recommend pre-booking as it is a small and intimate venue that must be very busy in the Summer. We arrived on a quiet Wednesday night. We were the first in at 7.30pm but were immediately felt welcome by Federico. He offered us a free drink included with the 20 euro each entry. But we went for his second offer to pay another 10 euros each for a meal and a bottle of wine. The meal options were either meat lasagne, veg lasagne or cannelloni. A simple and limited approach but we tried one of each lasagne and believed they were of good restaurant quality and a bargain. As for the Jazz we were engrossed by it. Each number was introduced well and the band sounded great! They played for around an hour and a half and had my attention the whole time! We would definitely go back again!

“Friendly place,great host,great entertainment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

Spent five nights in Venice with my wife 14 -19th Feb. We came to the VJC on three of those nights. Excellent entertainment from the owner Federico with the house quartet. Easy atmosphere friendly host , nice feel to it. All tourist audience who enjoyed each night. Federico is a great host and very welcoming. For those who don't know jazz give it a try as the music was mellow and varied. Federico talks you through each set and is a knowledgeable guy and very amusing. The wine and food deal is great value in a city which is very expensive. There are some nice bars around for a couple of warm up drinks. To be honest we would have come to the club on every night except they close on Thursdays and Sundays. Great night give it a go.........!

“Earns their #1 spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

Venice is not really the place for big nights out, but we were lucky to find this spot, its #1 in trip advisor nightlife and also well-advertised throughout the city. Very intimate setting added to the evening, as it only had around a dozen tables. Bargain fee for entrance & meal, no menu to choose from but the lasagne we got was pretty good, as most reviews state this comes at a good price of €60 per couple with a bottle of wine. I am not a jazz fan at all, but always appreciate live music and was impressed with the entire set. Short conversations with the group during the break showed them all to be great guys too.

Wonderful evening, and given the lack of bars/clubs and such this really is a place anyone in Venice should make an effort to spend the evening.

“Great Jazz club and excellent value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

I came here with my wife who isnt really a great jazz fan at around 8:30 on a Monday evening, we had an excellent time. Entry, a meal and a bottle of chianti for €60! We left full, merry and my wife commenting on how she really, genuinely enjoyed the Jazz. The host federico was great, friendly and a great pianist. The music was played at a very high standard and the venue was small but cosy and intimate, with good acoustics. If you love jazz or just want to see some great live music, give it a try!

“2 fine evenings in Venice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2013

We went to the Jazz Club twice between Xmas and New Years, and listened to some fine music. The owner/pianist explained it used to be a disco in a previous life.
Fabulous atmosphere at a really good price. Nice t-shirts too.
