We loved this hotel. Great bang for the buck. The hotel is historical and beautiful. We asked for a room with a canal view and that's exactly what we got. The ceilings were about 15 feet high with big windows. It's close to the action but quiet. The garden and courtyard are a beautiful way to start the day with breakfast and an equally nice way to end it with a drink before bed.
The staff were friendly and helpful. My luggage was lost by the airline and the woman behind the counter took the sheet I was given and called to inquire about my luggage on my behalf. I really appreciated not having to do that myself. It's comfortable, clean and attractive.
We ended up having to stay in another hotel in Venice for one night and it cost more, the room was half the size and not nearly as charming. I would stay at Hotel Al Sole again anytime. It was a really positive experience.
