I took my sister to Venice for her 21st birthday as a chance to explore the city and its beautiful architecture. It was important for us to get a hotel with a great location, good value for money and somewhere that would make the trip special, Hotel Firenze did all of that! The location is incredible, about a minutes walk from Piazzo St Marco, so close we could even hear the music from the square when we were sitting on the hotel's roof terrace! The hotel is clean, comfortable and the hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. They made some great recommendations for traditional venetian places to eat and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great and really good value for money, fresh fruit, croissants, cereal and a selection of fresh meats and cheese. It was an incredible trip and one that we will always remember. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly!

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor (4th floor) have an incredible view and a balcony which you can see the Grand...

The location of this hotel is amazing, just outside San Marco Square. It is about a 30 second walk. Also in the dead centre of the central shopping area of Venice, yet the hotels not at all noisy.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and accommodating when we were not leaving Venice until 9pm on the day that we checked out.

The rooms here are also very nice.

The main thing about this hotel is the location though. It is phenomenal, especially the price.

Definitely suggest to anyone considering this hotel to stay here.

Wow, I was really surprised when I arrived at this hotel . I was only staying for one night with my family of four and really did not expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The location is very, very close to the piazza San Marco and the vaporetto stop. The room was "cozy" as my son said,
. A very nicely decorated room with a Double bed and two single rollaways that were brought in so it was tight, but I had already expected this for a quad room. There was a welcome tray of biscotti, waters, and peach nectar. The bathroom was very ample with a tub. Breakfast was nice, although not as good variety as others I have stayed in. Staff were very helpful. Big note! Could be hard to find. The sign is on the ground. I would stay again with out hesitation.

We've just had a weekend break in Venice.
The Firenze is all that you pay for! It's clean and comfortable, but above all the location is fabulous.
The staff were fine, one lady serving at breakfast was having a bad day and wanted 3 Euros per person, if we wanted to eat on the roof terrace!
However, you have to look at the price and compare and I have to say the room was clean, there was a sufficient and plenty buffet breakfast on offer and to get to and from the airport, water bus and the main sights it was excellent. For a mini break, I think it would be hard to beat.

We decided a long time ago that, when we're traveling, we like to stay at hotel that reflects the character of the city and country we're visiting—in other words, not just another American-style hotel in a different location. Albergo Firenze filled the bill for us perfectly: It's a small hotel, loaded with Venetian character. We loved the breakfast and the room in which it's served. Cold cuts, cheese, cereals, yogurt, baked goods—we knew we were in Italy! And the hotel staff was especially friendly and helpful, tolerating—even encouraging—my tentative use of their language. Highly recommended.

We arrived close to midnight and were met by an ogre of a frontdesk man who told our party of five that only two of us had reservations at the hotel that night. How do you like that for a cordial Venician howdy-do? Two hours later, following discussions over the cellphone with Expedia's help line, we were all allowed to stay the night. Great. Three of us had to straddle two very small European twin beds for the night and if you think that is comfortable, think again. The other two of us fell into our little European twin beds that were also shoved together and were apparently trying to mascarade as a full bed or some such, and not doing a very good job of it. The floors are marble-like, no carpeting, making it impossible for the room with three of us straddling the twin beds to even think about sleeping on the floor. A truly impossible situation. The next day we were requested to fork over an additional 50 euro to secure a replacement room for the three of us in Room 2, which included ample sleeping space, as originally requested and pre-paid. After looking at the hotel's website again, I see the hotel does indeed have larger beds, yet two of us were stuck in a room for two nights with two European twins shoved together. The room was extremely small, cramped in fact, unlike the ones pictured. I am very annoyed and have issued a complaint with Expedia. The hotel calls itself a budget hotel? At a grand total, pre-paid, mind you, of $845, not including the additional $50 one of us forked over to the hotel, does that sound like a budget hotel rate to you? It averages out to about $200 per night for each room. The location is convenient, yes, and the breakfast is lovely. The little freebies in the rooms are nice. That's it.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

We stayed here for 3 days and loved this hotel. It is located a minutes walk from San Marco Square, which i was initially worried about the noise, but the hotel was nice and quiet at night. Additionally, it was easy to get to from the vaporetto with our luggage. The room was beautiful and clean, including our own balcony. There is also a roof top terrace above the fourth floor which is spectacular. The staff were all very pleasant and very helpful in suggesting places to eat or how to get around. The hotel included a great breakfast buffet. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: The rooms on the fourth floor all have their own private balcony, which is just lovely to sit on and...
