“Very Authentic!”
Reviewed March 11, 2014

This place is ALWAYS packed and you can see why. It's not the place to come if you are in a hurry. Like many restaurants in Venice, there were only 2 people serving two full rooms of diners but they were efficient, once they took your order. Food is mainly all seafood, mostly platters for two. Very simply but tasty and authentic dishes. Very relaxed atmosphere.

“not bad, not excellent”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

Not the best restaurant in this area for sure, but it wasn't bad either, and not too expensive. The spaghetti alle vongole - I just can't resist when in Venice- were not the most tasty and the pasta a bit too al dente....

“Amazing place”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Wonderfully fresh fish. Very limited choice - which is usually a very positive sign. Delicious food, Very inexpensive. If you are two persons, you probably have to share your table. We did and enjoyed talking to our neighbours. But of course, you never know...

“Surprisingly one of the best meals I had in Italy”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

I checked out the negative reviews of this restaurant before going, so I was ready for rude service and to be packed in.
I found quite the opposite of rude service, although it was at times a little bit distracted, especially when it came to getting the check. It is true that those who came with less than four people got to share their four seat table with strangers. If this is a problem for you, this might not be the best choice. We were a party of four so had no problem.
This is a seafood only restaurant. I had the sea bas which was ridiculously fresh and savory. One of my party had the spaghetti vongole, which was perfectly al dente and flavorful. Roasted vegetables were also fresh and simply cooked.
This is Italian seafood done the way the Italians do it best- simple and fresh.
Venice is a tourist city and has been so for hundreds of years, so all restaurants cater to tourists. This does not mean that they are all tourist traps, and this one shows that you can find vibrant simple, delicious food even here.

“Best Spaghetti Vongole”
Reviewed November 29, 2013 via mobile

Every time we go to Venice we make our way to this restaurant for the spaghetti vongole and the house prosecco which comes in a pitcher which has been drawn from a barrel. Our son-in-law introduced us to this restaurant and we're sure glad he did as it has become a regular stop for us.
