Excellent hotel overall. Good location, helpful staff, spacious room, reasonably priced (for Venice standards). Could consider free wi-fi; it's something that should be available at no cost. Would stay again though.

When looking for a hotel in Venice we wanted to make sure that it came highly recommended by past guests and was ideally located near San Marco Square but in a quiet area. Also, we wanted our own private bathroom and a comfortable room. Staying at the Ca' Bragadin Carabba we got all that we wanted...and more! We took the Alilaguna Orange Line Water Taxi from Marco Polo Airport. It dropped us off at the Rialto stop and thankfully we watched the YouTube video that the hotel has. It was very helpful. Also, the hotel provides you with a map that lists the key landmarks in the video as well. Those two items were pivotal in finding the hotel as it is located in a quiet neighborhood. Once we arrived we had to carry our luggage up the staircases as pictured on their website. Be prepared if you are already winded from the walk and dragging your luggage.

Check-in was simple and Roberto was very helpful. There is always someone at the desk so even if you are out exploring Venice into the early am you just have to ring the doorbell and they will let you in. Our room was the Double Suite and its two windows opened directly into the below Piazza. It was nice to open the windows and people watch anytime during the day. The bed was super comfortable (but then I always have preferred Italian mattresses to American), the bathroom immaculate (always had hot water), and the A/C was perfect for the hot weather. I found absolutely no fault in the hotel during our stay. We were very comfortable and enjoyed every minute. Make sure to find a grocery store and buy some small or big bottles of water. There was a minibar in our room but they charged 2 euros per small bottle. After a day of walking around Venice you will be thirsty so it is always good to have your own at a smaller price.

This is a perfect hotel to stay at due to it's location as well. It is super close to San Marco Square, the Bridge of Sighs, and of course the Rialto Bridge. When we checked out we walked to the train station instead of taking the water taxi. Be prepared for a good 30 -40 minute walk and about 4-5 bridges if you go take Strada Nuova (which is a long main street by the hotel).

We were planning on taking the 9:25 am train to Florence but when we got to the train station at 8:30 am it was sold out. We took the 10:25 am instead. So plan accordingly as trains can sell out to touristy cities as they stop at other cities as well (i.e. Venezia Mestre, Bologona, etc). Also, seating is pretty tricky when using the Fast Regional Ticket Kiosks at the train station. I made the mistake and bought 2 tickets together, requested the seats together but based on what I choose, we didn't get to seat next to each other. We were actually seated in two different coach trains and people are not too considerate about you taking their assigned seat. So, book a ticket at a time and pick "seat next to another traveler" on the next ticket. This way you can enter in the seat number of the first ticket and get a seat near or close to it. Also, get to the train early (especially if you have big luggage, anything bigger than a carry-on) as there are not many big size luggage compartments and they go fast with all the tourists.

Other than the trains the Ca' Bragadin Carabba meet all our needs and it was a delightful pleasure to stay there!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Piazza.

Really good prices for rooms. Excellent location by Rialto Bridge. Very easy to get to from airport (ATVO bus from Marco Polo to Piazzale Roma and Vaperetto No.2 from there to Rialto), they provide a very useful youtube clip for directions from Rialto Bridge to the hotel. Fantastic shops and restaurants a few metres from the hotel. Hotel staff incredibly friendly and the Double Superior room was amazing! I originally booked the Classic Double room which was quite small, offered an upgrade for 60 euros which was worth every penny. Try and book the double superior because its lovely. Very clean, lots of space and nice decor. Would 110% stay here again and will most definitely recommend to friends and family.

We booked this hotel for a 3-night stay just prior to a cruise. We arrived at the hotel very late and despite the fact that the hotel has this brilliant YouTube video and map, it was extremely hard to find the hotel. Despite the fact that so many people are raving about the hotel, we're not sure why. It was an adequate hotel. Our room overlooked the square and trust me when I tell you that lots of workers pass through the square very early in the morning. The sound of numerous trolleys passing over the cobble stones reverberates in your room and you feel like they're in the room with you. This was with the windows, etc. closed. There was also some sort of construction taking place on the upper level of the building. If you face the square, don't plan on sleeping in despite the fact that this hotel is away from all the hustle & bustle of Venice.
Only some rooms have free WiFi, which was irritating. There's no reason that all rooms can't have free WiFi access. The manager was quite lovely as were the other staff, with the exception of the night person who was truly unfriendly. You have to bring your luggage up the staircases, which can be problematic if it's heavy. I couldn't believe that one of the housekeepers offered to carry down one of the suitcases when we were leaving. Truly a lovely gesture & totally unexpected!
There's a Michelin star restaurant in the square below the hotel, but we couldn't get in without reservations (nothing to do with the hotel).

Room Tip: For peace & quiet try and select a room away from the square.

The Venice Street map we picked up on our check in has the by line Ca Bragadin Amazing Inn on it and that is exactly what it is. Very conveniently situated to a number of the major tourist attractions it is the best value for money we have come across. The suites are spacious, very clean and the beds comfortable. The staff is helpful and the Italian breakfast served in your room is the best start to your day. After 5 days here we feel we hit the jackpot. Venice and Ca Bragadin will be seeing us again.

Unbelievable value. Beautiful hotel with lovely staff.
So close to all the main spots as well.
The breakfast in bed is wonderful value.
We had a lovely view over the square and although we were on holiday, the early hustle and bustle was so atmospheric.

Would come here again without hesitation!

We stayed here for only one night as we were passing through Venice, but would have happily stayed longer. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the staff was nice and so helpful, and we slept great. We loved that it was slightly off the beaten path, away from the main canals, and far less touristy. There were great places to eat nearby, and we comfortable walked all over the City from this location. The staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants and sight seeing to make the most of our time. We loved it!
