“Quiet, Clean, and Exceptionally Located”
Reviewed July 4, 2011

Clean and quiet with free WiFi. This tourist house is centrally located and very well-priced. I booked it based on reviews and location after clicking on a discount offer on TripAdvisor. EURO 86 per night in Venice!

One forewarning: the shower is tiny as is expected in many Ventian/Italian hotels. This was more an amusing rather than an inconvenient experience.

Highly recommended, especially for two people or solo travellers.

Ca’Bragadin was a very nice place to stay while my wife and I spent 5 days in Venice in mid-June. The location is tricky to find, but using the map that was supplied we really didn’t have a problem finding the place. There are 2 bridges to cross, but hey, you’re in Venice. We were very pleased with our room. It was nicely decorated and good-sized, as was the bathroom. There was a high-def TV and the air-conditioning worked well. In the morning and at dusk when we opened the windows, the view over Campo Santa Marina was marvelous. The main desk was staffed 24x7 and the people working it were helpful with anything we needed.
When booking the room I chose the Anniversary Package which included the breakfast buffet each morning. The breakfast had an adequate variety of food, but in hindsight for a 5 day stay, I may have preferred to have breakfast out at a restaurant or just a coffee and pastry (there is a great bakery at the last bridge you cross on the way to Ca’Bragadin). The roses, sparkling wine, and chocolates that came with the package were a nice touch for my wife and me.
I did like the location, which was a relatively easy walk to pretty much any place in Venice, and very close to a number of excellent restaurants (L'Osteria di Santa Marina, Il Milion).

We stayed there in June2011 for three nights. Our 3rd floor room was large, comfortable and well-furnished, with two large windows overlooking a small piazza. Breakfast was available at extra cost; we skipped that, and ate at nearby pastry/coffee shops instead.
The staff were nice, helpful and spoke English well.

The location is great! It's close to the sights (San Marco, Rialto) but quiet and off the beaten track. The hotel made a YouTube video showing how to get there, and our 13 year old son studied it before we left the USA, and guided us there without a hitch.

Room Tip: We liked our room facing the piazza.

Ca' Bragadin is an excellant hotel, some of the points noted were:
1) Quietness of the room, no noise from outside keeping you awake.
2) Large room size compared to other hotels.
3) Close to a recommended restaurant, - needs early booking.
4) Staff are very willing to help.
5) Shower was instantly hot, (better than waiting ages to become warm).
6) Close to areas of interest.
7) Over the e-mail, the hotel will provide a clear .pdf map, showing the route to walk from Rialto Bridge to the hotel, otherwise it is not easily found by other internet maps.
8) Ca' Bragadin have their own handout copies of a map of Venice where colours help in road guidence, and the bridges and canals are clearer than on internet maps. We never stopped using it.

We would like to thank this Inn for their help over the last few days.

This was our first trip to Venice, and it was perfect - in part due to this hotel. It's right around the corner from the water taxi drop-off, which is pretty much the only way to get here. We had the penthouse suite overlooking the campo (plaza) below, and my wife said she felt like Angelina Jolie in the movie "The Tourist." While the room wasn't quite that elegant, believe me, it was amazing. And the price was a steal for Venice. We were far enough away from the city center to avoid the tourists and have peace and quiet, but close enough for a short walk to all the sites (Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal, Piazza San Marco, etc.).

Room Tip: Ask for the penthouse suite!

This hotel was a fantastic find in Venice - advertised as a "charming inn" and it certainly was. Tucked into the streets and canals of Venice, it wasn't easy to find the first time, but once you got your bearings, it was an easy and short walk to San Marco Square and the Rialto bridge...thought the location was great and the price was right. (Hiring a porter to show us the way to the hotel from the waterbus stop and cart our luggage there was the best euros we spent!!)

The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, and did their best to accomodate any and all of our needs. Our rooms were beautiful, clean and looked exactly like the pictures advertised, plus we had the bonus of a nice terrace off our room where we could relax.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!!

The hotel is almost invisible with only its name in the brass plague by the buzzer to get in to this very pleasant hotel near the Rialto. The small calle of Venice allow one to quickly leave noise behind. Our room in this very up to date hotel was very pleasant with a view across the roof tops of the city. Breakfast is not included in the room price. Breakfast can be either an Italian breakfast of croissant and coffee in your room for 4 E or a full buffet breakfast in the the dining room for 12 E. One hour of wifi is included with more purchasable; why is it that fancier places charge for wifi and lower priced ones do not?
